    Pool Ball Collecting.

Good afternoon RC, It looks like the photos are either out of focus or shot on low resolution then enlarged a little too much. To me the edge of all the stripes on the high number balls do not look crisp, they look a little fuzzy. They might have copied a stock photo from another site, then...

K2K, It really sucks not being neighbors with you !! Thanks again for sharing everyone! I've seen a few sets I would like to get when finances allow.

Possible to replace carpet w/out disassembling table?

If the carpet is trash anyway, you could cut it around the feet and remove all but the pieces under each feet. Now you could jack up one side of the table and put Tri Dollies under the feet, then repeat on the other side. Tri Dollies are cheap and they roll easy as long as they are on a hard...

Possible to replace carpet w/out disassembling table?

Glen will probably reply soon, but I think he meant to jack up under the frame. Jack at the center of the head & foot rail. (only one side at a time, under the darker part of the frame in the photo) You can use any bottle jack that will fit between the floor & the frame. Get one that is rated...

I agree !! They draw you in, just like great artwork. On this side of the pond, we have a saying that applies; "if it ain't broke don't fix it"

    Pool Ball Collecting.

This is a great thread! I had no idea there were/are so many different pool balls in the world! I think I know where most of them are now... if Rubik's shipped his collection to K2K, or vice versa, most likely the transfer of weight would cause an earthquake! Thanks for sharing everyone.

    GC2 refurbish advice

I just went and found Paul's tread, I wish I saw it before I did mine. I would do it that way if I had to do it again! I would try cutting it with side cutters first though. http://forums.azbilliards.com/showthread.php?t=386593&highlight=Paul+Schofield

    GC2 refurbish advice

I would like to commend you on your choice of a "starter table" My GC is my first table also. You will find several of the members here love the Gold Crowns! Anyhow, when I rebuilt my counters I bought the replacement counter springs from Ken Hash at Classic Billiards. He had new ones made up...

    Look what I found! :)

Sorry for the late reply, I have been traveling back & forth to where my table is, (3200 miles round trip) but I have not had the time to finish setting it up yet. So I will not be able to post a currant photo, but here is one as it was when I bought the table. Lucky this is the side with the...

Maybe they are pool balls intended to be used on a snooker table? Just a guess?

instructors comments on this help for vision center impared students

Thanks guys. My left eye is the good one, and I shoot left handed. So now I'm going to try lining my left eye over the cue as suggested. I may have to modify my stance a little bit? I watch some of the pro players on YouTube, some of them really adjust their stance for the dominant eye. Albin...

instructors comments on this help for vision center impared students

Very interesting stuff posted in this thread. I enjoy reading it even though it does not apply to, or work for me. I do not have any depth perception or 3D vision. A police combat firearms instructor tried to explain how to "aim for the middle" of two objects in your vision during a gunfight...

Aramith makes 2.25 snooker balls with or without numbers. I plan to get a set for my table.

What ever happened to (insert pool player name here)?

Using a inflation calculator for the year 1977, that would be like making between $3,251.20 - $8,128.00 a week today. Not to mention what a vintage Ginacue is worth today!

It wouldn't be the first time you were wrong. What are all his usernames? Did you ever wonder if people ask about him because he was or is a great player?
