    Rhino vs Revo

I have 3 different brands of CF shafts on various cues. And I will put them in order of which I like the best: 1) Cuetec Cynergy 12.5 mm $400 2) Rhino 12.8 mm $180 3) Rouge/Pechauer 12.4 mm $490 I am an intermediate player, so I go more by how it feels in my bridge hand and my ability to pot...

Who says barbox 8-ball is harder than 9-foot?

Our league has grown very quickly in terms of players and teams, and the pool hall doesn't have enough Bar Box 7 ft tables to accommodate the league. So every week one match is scheduled on the 9 ft tables so everybody can play. We had our turn on the 9-footers for League, and I do a lot of open...

    I’m calling foul

At our local pool hall you can see the burn marks where people break the most, and that is near the cushion on both sides of the table that will end up hitting the second ball in the rack. I think oftentimes people hitting from the extreme edge have a tendency of hitting a bit downward on the...

Cuetec vs. Predator …. Is there a comparison analysis??

Is there a comparison analysis?? Don't know what your specific question is? I own Cuetec equipment, I like it, but don't own any Predator equipment. Other than that, I don't know how to answer whatever question you might be asking? Comparison analysis ???

how are ya'll doing in league ?

Lately I have lost some confidence in myself in league play. My teams schedule has been very tough for the first half of this session's play. It's a no hc league, best players around compete there, and I need to get back a little confidence. Not doing bad, but I can do better.

    Etiquette question

I am sort of new to the game, and I accidentally bumped a ball about 6 in lifting my cue up and my knee jerk reaction was moving it back to where it was without asking. They called me on the foul for it, because that is a foul, and I didn't like it, but it was a foul plain and simple. If someone...

Thoughts on the best way to remove tension when shooting in league/tournaments?

Being a heart patient, I have tried beta blockers about 30 years ago for a particular heart condition, I couldn't stand them because they would make me quite sour in disposition, but they do have the ability to take the edge off of one's nerves. They are a prescription medicine so you would have...

Thoughts on the best way to remove tension when shooting in league/tournaments?

Things that I do that help my mental game are: 1) Practicing fundamentals. 2) Making the game what it is, just a game. This is a short life and in retrospect when we look back it is really not that important in the scheme of things. 3) Not having proper breathing. 4) taking my time and having...

Bring your own billiard balls to pool hall

Well I don't think anybody will have anything against playing with the best equipment, but if you start with your own set and then move to pool hall set you may be in for some surprises. The whole issue is to be used to the equipment you're playing with before you put anything on the line. This...

Bring your own billiard balls to pool hall

Every comment in here was based on some sort of judgment, there's nothing wrong with judging what somebody has to say and giving your own opinion, that is fine. It's just that you didn't give much of a reason when you made your comment and I wondered what your reasoning was.

Bring your own billiard balls to pool hall

That doesn't sound like much of a reason, it almost sounds like bragging to me. I would have to have a good reason to bring my expensive Centennials to the pool hall and use them. Absolutely, you would get more consistency from those then a set of possibly mixed balls, but you are not going to...

Bring your own billiard balls to pool hall

Well I guess you could practice with your own set, but then you would go from that to league play with the pool hall set. My Philosophy is I should practice with what I'm going to use in competition. I have a table at home and I have a complete set I use there and practice with all the time.

Bring your own billiard balls to pool hall

I don't think it has to be a real expensive set of pool balls that will make that much difference, what will make a difference is a consistency of size and weight between every ball. I have a set of dynosphere Silver's, I think I paid $115 for them, but they are very good balls and very...

Other Carbon Fiber Shafts For Cuetec

They seem a bit expensive, especially for that extra inch you are talking about. That surprises me that it costs that much for one extra inch? The Rhino comes at 30 in, and you can get them for under $200. Like I mentioned in an earlier post, I have three of them, two players, and one breaker...

Other Carbon Fiber Shafts For Cuetec

Rhino, these are very nice shafts for the money. I have 3 of them, and I like them all. Sometimes the fit isn't perfect, and I have had to take the edge off of the shaft piece so I wouldn't feel it as I rub my hand over it. When ordering a shaft for a particular stick, nobody can ever assure you...
