    Break cue weight

I did a search and found this thread because I am contemplating changing from my 22.5 oz rage break cue to something around 18 oz. I tried another fellows break cue yesterday and it was quite light (17-18 oz), and I loved it. I seem to get better control and just as much speed as I wanted.

    Carbon Shaft comments, please

I own two Rhino carbon fiber shafts, and really like them. I have a Pechauer Rogue cf shaft, and although it is very well made, it is too slippery for my liking. Sort of contrary to what the fellow likes in the video.

Think I need to change my break

I had my break speed measured and I got up to 20.5 miles per hour. I have always been confident and capable in my breaking power and accuracy, but oftentimes think that dropping down to 15 mph seems to give me better results, especially when going after the second ball in the rack. I like to put...

JB Ultímate Rugged case: a testimonial

I got to believe this is a very valid point. You would do more rubbing on the cue with a loose fitting slot over a snug one. JB cases are built like battle axes and I appreciate that.

JB Ultímate Rugged case: a testimonial

To my surprise, as I was looking at an old cue stick one of the old timers used to have and it was all beat up on the butt end. Almost as bad as the one in the photo. What the guys used to do as they sat around the table when somebody else shot, when he potted a ball on a good shot they used to...

Think I need to change my break

It seems to me you might be pretty hard on your equipment, after seeing your cue stick in the JB case thread. I have seen people pound the ball on breaks with never an issue, which makes me wonder what you are doing to your equipment.

JB Ultímate Rugged case: a testimonial

My thoughts as well. Half of the butt is missing and he is concerned about some lettering that has worn off. It surely couldn't be because he uses his stick as a hammer could it? My JB case is a fantastic case that keeps my sticks protected, and they go in nice and snug into the soft material...

    A properly fashioned Cue Tip

Nice rack of cues you got. That's going to be my goal, get all my cues to 19-19.5 oz, with same tip build. The only difference is the 12.5 cf shaft on two of them. Someone mentioned balance points, but I think they all balance out pretty close.

    A properly fashioned Cue Tip

I did start asking about tips, but I appreciate the direction it is heading. I think I didn't explain myself well? What the problem turned out to be was a flat tip had significant impact on shooting straight and spin action I was not able to put on the cue ball. While switching between cues, a...

    A properly fashioned Cue Tip

I get your point, and it would be better received if this were a car forum. Should we not talk about tips and the way they are maintained on a billiards forum? After all, they are the point of contact that gets the cue ball rolling. Yes it is a topic that has a lot of opinions, but so does every...

If you send it back to him would they replace the case? I got the same case in dark blue, and love it for its functionality and build.

    A properly fashioned Cue Tip

I have only been playing pool 2 years now and I'm doing pretty good. I have 5 playing cues and alternate between them. I have one nice Pechauer cue that I don't use that often because I don't want to mess it up, but it seems whenever I use it I don't shoot very well. It's almost like night and...

Do carbon fiber cue shafts make custom cues obsolete?

Strange, I have been shooting best with my 12.75mm wood shaft. I seem to get better feel with wood in my hands in the carbon fiber. Here is the shaft for my Pechauer: https://seyberts.com/products/pechauer-p-lite-jp-series-pool-cue-shafts?variant=41783717462214 I struggle with my shot with a...
