    Good Books to Learn From

One day you can talk directly to God about your thoughts. Not saying you'll be better off for that, but at least you'll talk to Him .

    Good Books to Learn From

Yes, I believe you are accurate, for the most part. Probably what would be even better is having an instructor you could work with to hash out stroke problems or how to work the cue ball around, and maybe a book would be good to add onto what you already know or have questions about. I don't...

    Good Books to Learn From

I just purchased this audiobook and wondering if anybody has read it? I haven't started yet but plan on it soon.

    Good Books to Learn From

While it has some decent points, it is very confusing and strange. People need to relate to what they read and that book is really difficult to do that with. I have the book, and was disappointed, and would not recommend it to anybody.

    NEW Bulletproof Synthetic Playing Tips.

I play with a bulletproof blue, which is soft, and I like it. I don't have any miscues like you might suspect, and zero mushrooming. It does make a slight bit different sound on contact, but that is just sound. I have let other 600 Fargo players try it out and they loved it too.

    Help me decide the wrap!

Here is an example which I am going out on a limb a little bit. Cue stick looks very good with the black speckled Irish linen, but I just sent it out to be redone with a leather wrap. I just feel the stick was a bit unimpressive , lacking a little pizzazz , so I thought I would try to Spruce it...

    NEW Bulletproof Synthetic Playing Tips.

There's nothing wrong with getting a deal, I got mine for free, just had to pay for shipping. Although that 'deal' may be over now?

What drills are best to get that smooth stroke like Buddy Hall , or Chris Melling?

A couple of Achilles heels for me is back cutting balls into the corner, shots on angle to the side pocket, and shooting off the rail. I should practice these more often, but don't. They have lost me matches before

What drills are best to get that smooth stroke like Buddy Hall , or Chris Melling?

I like your comment, and mine is work in progress. Also, play on 9 ft tables with tight pockets, this forces you to play a good stroke.

    Compete without fear

I haven't tried my earbuds while playing, but maybe I should try them out.

    Compete without fear

We have, at our pool hall, an individual that has a reputation of severe sharking. It p'd me off how how I let him beat me last time we played a match, with just the anticipation of him possibly sharking me affected my game. I have only about 2 years of Billiards competing under my belt, and I...

    Compete without fear

You know, I (op) was just thinking on this line. I was just playing in a fun tournament, and I missed a simple shot that was caused by poor psr and poor stroke. Worried about cue ball control, I took a quick jab at the cue ball and missed the shot. For some reason, I am struggling with good...

    Compete without fear

I have been playing pool now for about 3 years now and I am a 500 Fargo level. In the three years I have been playing it is rare for me to be in competition without some sort of fear or stress over missing a shot or losing. It's the same apprehension and fear that all players suffer, and it can...

    NEW Bulletproof Synthetic Playing Tips.

I have the Bulletproof soft, and I have only good things to say about it. I don't get any mushrooming, nor miscues, and it seems very resilient. I think the biggest thing with pool players is it's hard to trust something new like this. Although, the cost of it was just the shipping charge, as it...

Why Pool Leagues Should Embrace “ALL BALL FOULS”

I am replying to my own message, as I've had a bit of a change of heart of what I would like to see according to the opening post. Whatever venue one might happen upon that pool is being played, and that would be whatever variation of Billiards you are playing, it would be very beneficial to...

Why Pool Leagues Should Embrace “ALL BALL FOULS”

I play golf in tournaments and play by all the rules of golf, which can be quite extensive, nonetheless they are the rules that I play by. I also play golf casually, and occasionally in leagues where they get a bit LAX with rules and that's okay with me as well. Other people can b**** and...

Why Pool Leagues Should Embrace “ALL BALL FOULS”

That is fine with me, as I also play golf in tournaments where I follow all the rules of golf. My comment was more towards leagues and Casual play, as there is no Authority mandating their rules of play. I support playing by all the rules if that is what the league chooses, and maybe should...
