Observation regarding Final 16 at 2012 US Open

I think this is yet another example of Filipino dominance on the global stage. Even with Hall-Of-Famer Francisco Bustamente, Warren Kiamco and Santos Sambojon already out... Even with Lee Van Corteza, Rodolfo Luat and Antonio Lining not being present... There are still five Filipinos...

Noteworthy Absentees from this year's U.S. Open

And no sponsors for any of them? Oh well, pool is a tough beat, always has been, and will remain so for a long time. That being said, the field is quite deep this year.

    Soooooo, I'm a slow player.........

Please post a picture of yourself so I can avoid you at all costs! Slow play makes me crazy, even in 1P. When I encounter a snail in the pool room I automatically think they are doing it deliberately to get under my skin, which makes me agitated. Of course I realize this may not be you, and...

    Weekly 8 Ball Tournament!!!

So far James Lee? won the first event. D.C. Moore came in 2nd and I took 3rd. Not sure about D.C. Moore because I left after I was eliminated. There have not been an event for the past 3 weeks (including yesterday). We really need to spread the word and get people to show. The regulars are a...

    Weekly 8 Ball Tournament!!!

Black Cat has not answered so I'll take the liberty of answering for him. The room has six tables, but the owner only lets him use four of them so he can rent the other two. This is OK because the first event only had 13 players. It started late (8:00 PM) because some of the locals were not...

    The Joy of Losing

You misunderstand. I suppose I was not clear in my thread, or I did not articulate properly. I didn't mean to say losing bothers me that much, it is just that winning doesn't feel that great, all things considered...for me. No anger management needed, just some Philosophy for Dummies...:)
