    9-Ball vs. 10-Ball Breaking Formats

As much as I agree with here I don’t believe that citing 800+ fargos performances as the reason a game is broken means a whole heck of a lot. That’s only what 100 players if that? And ultimate pool shouldn’t mean much either as the tables have literal buckets for pockets and brand new cloth...

My sentiments exactly. Completely non sensical to dump off that many games for such a small POTENTIAL benefit. Just dumb. But it happened. I’d rather not say who the champion was as he’s no longer with us and a name that most everyone in this forum would know.

Thanks Gar, you're right for sure there. again though, not butthurt just don't appreciate "Wrong". No, I'm not wrong at all. I could provide more insight but what would be the point. Pretty dumb stance to take by that guy but hey we are all a bunch of idiots at the end of the day for not...

    Old War Stories

Sounds great and I understand why you’d think this way. Makes sense. However this bookie had a habit of going off for more than he had with him at the time so what he had on him wasn’t really relevant and the champion definitely knew that. But alas, I’m the one that’s “wrong” in this...

    Old War Stories

I mean sure but dude set fire to his own $3000 to do it. Kinda different. But some would say he won what he could win anyway but that's not true at all. Had he gotten the bookie more stuck quicker he almost certainly woulda raised the bet and gone slap off for 15-20k. This player cost himself a...

Exactly right. Batshit crazy though imo. The side bet didn’t change what he could win in the slightest. I could see how it would in some situations but not this one.

    Old War Stories

A little bit ago a friend of mine and I were trading some pool stories back and forth and he told me one I hadn't heard even a version of before... So He shows up at the poolroom and sees a known champion playing one of the local bookies on a bar table some 9 ball. The bookie is a C player at...

Is this a real 1-pocket rule or what?

mindblowing to me that this isn't treated as any old foul just because you had BIH before it occurred. Just wild to me. Can't get my little brain around it.

Is this a real 1-pocket rule or what?

short answer, no. long answer, man these guys trying to get one over on you. No way. Opponent's turn, yes. But play it as it lies, no ball in hand.

What is the One Major Player Flaw You See Most Often At The Pool Hall

Just adding if you think Fedor and Filler add elevation beyond the minimum for the given shot then yeah don’t think I can add anything else to this.

What is the One Major Player Flaw You See Most Often At The Pool Hall

Really don’t understand where you’re even coming from with this. Nobody used the word “level” but you. Adding elevation just for the sake of this mythical “every shot is the same” angle is truly reductive and doing so with side spin will get you broke. Almost everyone (relatively speaking of...

What is the One Major Player Flaw You See Most Often At The Pool Hall

“Level” is impossible. The rail is in the way. A certain amount of elevation is required for nearly all shots. However going beyond the minimum isn’t advisable.

What is the One Major Player Flaw You See Most Often At The Pool Hall

Unnecessary elevation of the butt of their cue on nearly all shots. I could be wrong on this but I think it’s even worse with players that “grow up” on the bar table. And it makes sense right? The rails are always closer to the cueball and most people have no clue how “jacked up” they truly...
