I am one of the lucky buyers and now have two. Whatever the reality of these cues are, I really like the MW I have and looking forward to getting the next one.
I owned one for about three years and would still have it if it wasn't so expensive to move it from Hawaii to the mainland.
I thought it played great and didn't have any issues with it. A lot of people played on it and all said it was a great table.
Personally, I think it is a pretty good idea. I have seen some tables in basements, which wouldn't have had wood damage at bottom of legs if they had this.
There are carbon fiber butts being built. GO Custom and BECUE as examples. I have a GO Custom butt, which I like. Major plus for me, is that I don't have to worry about it warping, just like not worrying about warping of the carbon fiber shafts.
That's the one I had and really like it. When I sold house, table and light went with it. Liked it so well, I will be ordering a new Perimeter light just as soon as I get my new pool room completed.
