A little bit yeah, but I don't think simonis cloth would have helped Mosconi run 1000 balls. Any play who can run 150 balls in theory can run 1000. The real challenge is keeping your focus for that long. The high run record is more an indicator of endurance/luck than it is skill.

Had Mosconi played on Diamond pockets, he'd barely be able to run 100 balls. Keep in mind he broke the record on an 8 ft table with 5 inch pockets

I don't believe so, you'd have to call him and ask. This was a cue I ordered over a year ago that he's trying to finish up.

I'm doing maple boxes on the butt sleeve but that's all.

Josh makes great cues, and is a well known and respected cuemaker. However, I'm hoping people will recommend some newer/lesser known cuemakers who can give you a true custom cue in that budget, not just a merry widow or sneaky.

Which cuemakers would you all recommend who can make a quality custom cue in the under $1500 price range?

Second on JB cases, I have a 60 inch cue and the case has plenty of room to spare. Plus you can Gronk spike the case and your cues will be fine.
