Artificial Intelligence produces *self-teaching* soccer-playing robots. Pool-playing ones not far off IMO

It'll be fun to hear a robot complain about the color of the 5 ball.

    The cue and young you

Used high school graduation money in 1994 to buy an ebony six-point Tim Scruggs with two shafts and Hoppe ring out of the display case at Breakers in Pittsburgh. Loved that cue but, in 2001 when I needed money to go back and finish my bachelor's, onto eBay she went and I think someone in Seattle...

Super billiards expo brackets and streaming

It's best of five sets, alternate break, with each set a race-to-5. If you don't want to pay to watch it, you can always stop by and see the finals in person at next year's Expo.

    I record myself playing pool...

I should start recording my practices. A lot of times after a missed shot I'll unleash a series of curse words that I've never uttered in that sequence before and then can never remember it. This would help.

    Cue brand

I wonder if pool players hang out at Lexus dealers to tell customers, "A Kia will get you there just the same!"

    New Cue Makers?

The flip side of the "pros don't care about custom" argument is maybe custom makers grew tired of these guys getting a free cue, selling it the minute they got in a bind then hitting up the cue maker for another wand and just stopped doing it.

Cues that play similar to Southwest Cues

We had a guy at the pool hall here in Harrisburg that had a nice collection of Scruggs/SW/etc and would take his cues with him into the bathroom when he had to go.

    Predator leather wrap

You could always buy the cue and have it re-wrapped.

Anyone see the format for this year's SBE pro event?

It kind of is an indirect race-to-25.

Anyone see the format for this year's SBE pro event?

According to the website, it'll be the best of NINE sets, with each set being a race-to-5. Single elimination and alternate break as well. https://superbilliardsexpo.com/events/pro2023/

Template Rack 9-Ball too easy for pros...

Since this industry loves comparing itself to golf -- and there really are true parallels so I completely get it -- it would be good to mention that there have been technology improvements in golf as well which have made the pros much better and scores much lower. Metal woods, multi-layered...

Template Rack 9-Ball too easy for pros...

I'd rather we tighten tables/rules for an existing game rather than create a new game, mainly because its yet another new discipline to explain to non-pool players when trying to bring them into the fold and grow the interest. I still have people look at me the way that RCA Victor dog looked at...

    Tiger Cue

Tony is one of the good people in the industry and puts a lot of work and care into his products.

You must play in the same pool room as me. I know the local classic rock station's heavy rotation as well as the DJs.
