Top 10 Reasons to Use an Open Bridge

Dr. Dave, I'm an old guy and can no longer get down as low over the table as I once did. I'm finding a very short closed bridge is working for me. When I see videos of Lassiter, Crane and some other old timers they seem to do the same. And they do not get down as low as many of the players today.

Table Mechanic Las Vegas - Improve Olhausen Pockets

My corner pockets rattle and many times refuse a well hit ball, even at a very moderate speed, when shooting along/down the rail. Must get it fixed.

Table Mechanic Las Vegas - Improve Olhausen Pockets

Yes, RKC told me it could be much improved by replacing the current pocket facings with Diamond 3/16 Neoprene facings. That's the way I'll go.

Table Mechanic Las Vegas - Improve Olhausen Pockets

I'd like to find a table mechanic in the Las Vegas area who, if possible, can improve the pockets on my Olhausen 8' home table. I'd like the pockets to be opened to the size of the Diamond League Cut pockets (4.75"). I'd also like to alleviate some of the pocket rattle. My grandchildren are...

    Best measles ball?

I did the same. That black spotted ball is superior to their red measles ball.

And then there’s this one of Lassiter’s many ways of shooting

I tried it with a few racks last night and it improves on the way I used to attempt it with making a traditional bridge with my right hand. Old dog learns new trick!

    Does it stop being fun?

"I bet you are enjoying your pool room as much as we enjoy ours!" It has become the most enjoyable part of my home. I too did some personalization to one of the walls as the photo shows.

    Does it stop being fun?

I too am in my seventies. To overcome the problem of getting to a pool room I bought a table for my home. Not seeing the balls well led me to buy glasses from William Curran. Not having to drive to a pool room I can now play without the backache I usually get from driving. I now play whenever I...

    Great Pool Video

Why waste time with Dr. Dave videos when much more can be gleaned from videos like this one? And if you are going to put tape on your 5-ball the use of clear packing tape is brilliant as you can still see the number. I use masking tape on mine and the numbers are impossible to see.

    Dutch Cue Builders

The OP asked for a Dutch cue builder. I gave him a Dutch cue builder. So to answer your question, a person who builds cues is a "cue builder." I guess you know the OP's mind better than I do.

Ali Express Billiard Ball Cleaner? Anyone seen or used one?

Have not heard of it. I recently bought a BallStar and am happy with it for my home table. Much more substantial than pictures in ads show. Also very quiet with less of a footprint than some other machines. Would have liked the Diamond eight ball cleaner but the wait time and shipping charges...

    Aramith Blue Circle Cue Ball

That is true. That would make the Aramith Tournament balls with Duramith a higher quality product as Aramith says their Tournament balls are superior technology to their Super Aramith Pro formulation. I do love the Centennials though.
