    8 Men still in Buffalo's 1 Pocket 2026

You know how many racks I've lost being up 7-0? I can't count that high. When you're in that position it feels like it's practically impossible to lose that rack. I'm still surprised and amazed when it happens.

I feel like this youtube channel belongs to one of you... Silver Cue

Either that table is a short 3x6, or that guy is HUGE!

    Dumping - caught

We played poker every Friday for years after that. Eventually, a few of our older players passed away and our game fell apart. I lost contact with him probably 15 years ago. Hopefully he's still kicking around somewhere. I didn't let his offer get in the way of our friendship. If anything...

    Eddie Taylor

Yeah, there was something special about the way the struck that cue. Such confidence. When I was young, I used to be able to copy / emulate someone's game and stroke. I think I did it unconsciously from people I was trying to learn from. I wish I could have emulated that stroke - I would...

    Dumping - caught

The guy that invited him uninvited him and told him why. The cheater wasn't a friend outside of poker, so I never had any contact with him again. While I'm not a professional poker player by any means, I have played a real lot of poker. The one thing I can say about having a cheater in the...

    Dumping - caught

Yup, about 30-35 years ago I was playing in a weekly Friday night poker game with friends. Low stakes ($1-2). One guy invited a friend of his who played with us for a couple years. The new guy was a fairly regular winner, and I was a somewhat suspicious, but I really didn't believe anyone...

Where to get a muecci refinished?

Yup, 125 (I just checked). Let us know how yours comes out and how long it takes.

Where to get a muecci refinished?

You sure $125 is right? If so, that's incredibly cheap. Not sure how they can do it for so little.

    Biggest Package Run Against you?

Didn't CJ tell a story about him running a ten pack on Busty and then Busty doing it back right behind him? I also recall hearing Archer running out a set (8, 9, or 10 racks) and beating Busty. Then Busty asked him to double up on the next set. I like that one. :)

    Dumping - caught

I'm of the belief this is more common than most realize. Years back, I was watching a hyped-up ten ahead match (9 ball). The two players (I don't want to say who) knew each other well and most felt it was a coin flip. Whoever was on that particular day would win. I was suspicious their...

    Biggest Package Run Against you?

I'm not sure of how many racks my opponent strung together, but I got down 40 racks of 9 ball in about 2-3 hours. It was a local shortstop (strong shortstop though) that I caught in dead stroke one day. I don't believe he missed more than two or three times in that session. I should have...

Best Current Pool Players 70+ Years Old?

Thanks. Exciting match though. Gutsy to play the race to one out at hill-hill.

    Is it over? Who won?

Nick Varner is a Fargorate 777

I was talking with Nick a few weeks ago about his game. He told me he could still take a set off anyone, but the chances of stringing together that level of play to win a pro tournament probably isn't possible for him anymore.

Best Current Pool Players 70+ Years Old?

Do you know where they're playing? Ron has always played very well for the cash. It seems like the more he plays for, the better he plays. He doesn't book very many losers either. I like Ron over Kenny playing any game.

    CJ or The Scorpion?

Yeah, can't compare CJ to Archer. CJ definitely played well enough to win a set here and there against JA (or anyone), but he'd be the underdog for sure.

What to do with a broken Gus Szamboti?

My vote would be to keep it as original as possible...even if it went a little shorter.

    Sharing my old Brunswick table

That table looks beautiful. I'm a big fan of restorations; not so much so increase value but just to preserve something for future generations to see and enjoy. If it were me, I would spend the money on the basic restoration and not worry about bringing it up to modern playing standards...

    Karen Corr

In her prime, Karen Corr didn't have to lose to anyone. I've seen her take sets off the best male players in the world.
