    Bergman-Lil John Match

Noooo, quitting while ahead is a massive nit and/or bad action. You can quit losers anytime you want; especially giving up huge weight.

I knew I guy that gave outrageous spots too. Even to guys he didn't know. He won more money gambling than anyone I ever knew. One time I witnessed him give a guy 12-2 in one pocket. I knew the guy he gave that game to and he could play a little (regular 30-40 ball runner)! What made his...

Fedor Gorst vs Tkon Nguyen race to 120 is Live

A few years ago, I watched Shaw practice jump shots for an hour or two. I was absolutely floored how well and how accurate he could jump. One shot he kept setting up was a long, straight in shot, jumping over a full ball. He was making the vast majority (~70-80%) and the ones he missed were...

Fedor Gorst vs Tkon Nguyen race to 120 is Live

I've been fortunate enough to play some of the past generation's legends. To my experience, those guys had no off switch playing anyone; they always played hard. I believe many set mental goals for themselves before the match to try to force themselves to play hard (i.e. "hold their opponent...

Fedor Gorst vs Tkon Nguyen race to 120 is Live

The pockets look loose to me. For today's top players, 9 ball is too easy on a loose table. Switch to 10 ball with tight pockets and you'll see the separation between these two players.

    Funny pic/gif thread...

They need deep charcoal grill marks. Then they'd be perfect.

    Johnny Archer

The guy I seen it from caught it and slapped it on his opposite wrist with his catch hand still covering it. Then he said "call it". He knew what it was and if you called the other side, he could somehow flip it while he was taking his hand away. Kind of like that video only more complex.

I knew a guy that would win 100% of his coin flips if you let him flip and catch it. It looked like he was flipping it, but actually he just wobbled it in the air. He would catch it, slap it against that back of his other hand and say "call it!". He knew what it was and if you called it...

    Gandy "Big G" Pool Tables

I played at a room that had all Big Gandy tables. We all thought they played fine. To me, they looked, felt, and played similar to the GC from that period (80s).

    Tony Chohan foul

Isn't there a difference in resting your cue on the table and using it to measure? I would never call that foul. How much of an unfair advantage does measuring even provide?

    Tony Chohan foul

What's wrong with laying your cue on the table. Did it move something?

    Need Prayers for Mike Webb

Please pay close attention to how you take your blood thinner. My mom passed away from taking too much. It thinned her blood so much she was bleeding internally through her stomach lining. We got her to the hospital but they told us she would not survive the surgery. I wish someone would have...

Yep, Tombstone is one of the all-time greats and that Doc Holliday made the movie. Man, 65 is young!

    Ernie the inovator

Thanks, but I'm not on FB. Is there another way to contact him? Also, I plan on going to the SBE, will he have his own table or with someone else? If someone else, who?

    SVB break

Yeah, that was an impressive breaking display. Squatted that cue ball perfect probably half the time. Thanks for posting.

    SVB break

Yeah, I don't have a FB account either. How about doing us guys a solid and posting the video instead of the FB link?

    SVB break

It's funny how a pouchy guy like SVB could break those balls so hard. I'm not an expert on the physics of breaking, but I'm thinking accuracy is significantly more important than power / cue ball speed.

Do you have a house bet?

To me, pool is similar to poker in that SOMETHING should be bet otherwise someone's typically not trying. I had a buddy I used to play, and we played for all-you-can-eat at the pool hall. They only served simple food like fries and cheeseburgers, but if it was going on the others guy's tab...
