I completly disagree with you on this one... Albin O. is at the moment and for a few years ago the best 9 ball player by far... you may not like is style but that is personal opinion, because he plays and win important tournaments and that is it for is quality and merit.

Before i hated winner breaks... now i prefer it... just because the talent of any player who can run several racks is enough to prove it. However, only at long games, as 11 or 13 minimun to guarantee that both players will have a chance.

It depends on the country where you want to travel... starting at West, Portugal have 8 ball on 8ft tables 4" pockets. Next, Spain have a lot of 7ft and 9ft tables where to play. Oficial competition have 2 or 3 subdivisions on 8ball, 9 ball,10 ball, many many people playing there. France...

I think people from american continent do not know much about europe´s billiard scene... We play all table sizes and many different pool disciplines. If all the top players from all those disciplines dedicate themselves only to 9 ball or 10 ball on 9ft tables, fargo ratings would have 50...

Easy to solve that: just shorten the difference between 1st and 2nd prize money. In that way, no interest in making the split deal and any one will want the 1st place, because competing objective is to achieve the highest place possible.

Why would it be?! It is a personal achievement for the players to get on to the late rounds, and, they all start randomly... If you want the game to grow in the US, do it as we do at europe: schools as in Poland or Germany. Professional tour, using APA as a 2nd division and awrding top APA...

When i was younger i also made this question several times. Beside brands, experienced players always told me this: there is no such "the best" thing... it is a question of feel. So on, i spent a lot of money buying and trying new cues with several shafts. So, it is just my opinion after all...
