Convert “regular “ cue to break cue?

Currently breaking with a Cuetec. Butt is an older Edge with the narrower joint matched with an Avid shaft. Put a Kamii Sai tip on it, and quite happy. I am cutting across the head ball to just above the side pocket, across and down to leave cue ball near bottom rail. Tactical breaks work for me

    Schon shaft markings

Every Schon picture I have viewed (mostly here), has had a logo etched vertically. I just saw one on Craigslist with the logo on the joint collar. The butt is oddly marked as well: CX04 marked as Schon LTD. Any clue/hints/allegations?

    Is a 3/8x14 Cuetec Joint Just A Normal 3/8x14?

A 3/8×14 is just that. There is a difference, though, with the size of the joint. Newer Cuetec cues have a wider joint.

    Sold Cynergy. 3/8×14 12.5 mm $200

This shaft fits the current generation of Cuetec butts. It has a scratch near the joint which I covered with a thin line of super glue. The carbon fiber was not pierced, but I felt better safe. There is no tip on it, currently. I will toss in a couple leather tips. As it says, joint 3/8×14...

The smaller pockets are helping the weak players, its very deep and people don't see it.

Gambling, Bob. How many here made Shane the favorite over Johan? If you bet Chua, how many racks did you get? Favorite does not win every match. And, dominating players do not always dominate. More so with smaller pockets.

Win the rack, or the match? My general take is that a 3-2 dog is 5-2 or even 2-1 as the pockets shrink.

Mike Page just posted an interesting thread about results, implied vs actual, of single racks between players with large FargoRate gaps: it points to how this argument should have been stated. If there was data, we should be able to see how tighter pockets effect results on a rack by rack...

Not clueless; rather, he is not able to state his thesis clearly ( or concisely!!!). Stu has done a much better job.
