Wipe the entire cue down with a clean, white, 100% cotton cloth. I use a water based wood floor cleaner called "Bona" on my shafts. You can buy it at the grocery store. It is very mild and has no ill effect on the wood. Just a couple of spritz on the cotton cloth and wipe the shaft down...

Joe - I totally agree with you, and that is one of the reasons that I have not listed a Skip that I have for sale here on fleabay. I think that the seller of the cue in question here really has no clue when it comes to cues. I'm kind of hoping that Skip pokes the guy a little bit.
