    league play

The higher number is the better player. Maybe the captain let him win. Oh and in APA 9 ball, racks don't mater. It is scored by number of balls pocketed.

    Battery powered light needed

It can be done for the right amount of money. You just need to size the UPS for the wattage of your bulbs. 12 hours is a long time. Fluorescents are a bit power hungry. So the battery(s) will be large. Maybe the lights are 100W per bulb, that is about 1 amp each. So 4 amps for 12 hours is ~50AH...

    Battery powered light needed

I doubt those will be bright enough. I had something like that as a backlight for my tv. Why not cut the hard wire and splice in a UPS. They are cheap and reliable and you will get your current lights for the table.

Current State of the Art Pool Table Lighting?

I went with a perimeter light. Couldn't be happier. The downside is all other lights **** by comparison.

That is not what the data said. If the breaker made a ball on the break, 127 times, they ran out 85 times. 67%. but real break and run % is 85/163 or 52%.

Do You Find Pros Playing 8-ball Boring?

The only reason 9 ball bnr is so low now is because the powers that be changed the breaking rules to make it harder. Hard break. Break in the box. 9 ball on the spot. 4 inch pockets. When the old rules were in play 9 ball at the pro level was a break and run festival.

BCA or APA for League Play

Where I played APA all the matches got 3 tables. A practice table for each team and a match table. So when waiting for, or after, your match you could practice. Later in the night if the matches went long we would convert 1 of the practice tables to another match table. It was very fun. And our...

Do You Find Pros Playing 8-ball Boring?

I only want to watch 8 ball played on bar boxes. 8 ball on a 9' table is definitely not interesting to me. There aren't many pro tournaments on a bbox. So I end up watching a lot of tournaments with 500-700+ fargo rated players. I find it very interesting.

    Questions for Mike with FargoRate

I figured this would have to be the case. In tournaments this type of information is lost. But in my local league there are many rumors about these questions.
