Never seen another set of balls that looked like this. Buy what you want. I'm never buying another set of dynospheres.

Bar table pool vs. big table pool

a shot from the 1,1 diamond is 45 degrees on both tables. Also a shot from the 2,1 diamond is 22.5 degrees on both tables. You could argue that on a 9ft you won't see the pocket on some shot where you would on a 7ft. But the angles are always the same. It is simple geometry.

Bar table pool vs. big table pool

The angles aren't different. The table are the same proportion. But the area of the table is much different. 40x80 vs 50x100 inches. In terms of difficulty I find 8 ball is more difficult on the 7ft vs 9ft and 9 ball is more difficult on the 9ft vs 7ft. Also the rails are different depending on...

What set of balls do you recommend to get?

The love for Dynosphere on here is cultish. I bought a set of the bronze. I really like the font and the colors. But the tollerances are no where near Aramith. I can PM some pictures. I prefer the Super Aramith Pro as others have mentioned. You can also get a used set of the Aramith Tournament...

    Another rules question

In the league I've been playing we do not allow changing the cue stick between shots. I thought this was a standard rule but I cannot find any reference to it. WPA rules for 14.1 are lame. They don't talk at all about equipment. So is this really a rule? If so by which governing body? I thought...

Fargo Caps = The dumbing down of pool

In my area we have run tournaments with scaled entry fee and fair match. The fair match tournaments are much better. We see more lower skill level players taking home money. Hidden Pocket in Winnipeg runs a fair match 8 ball tournament every Sunday. Streamed with brackets on digital pool. And...

    Ultimate Pool USA

They have league all across the country. So the tables aren't regulated. The CEO was commenting during the second day stream in KY and said they are working with Brunswick on tables. Regarding the shot clock, in the San Antonio TX tournaments every table has a tablet and the players keep the...

Too Many Cue Balls Chose…….Do You Have A Favorite?

I prefer the black triangle Predator (aramith) cue ball. I can see the rotation and it isn't as distracting as the measle ball.

    Perimeter vs Lite Systems

I was an electrical engineer for 25 years. Recently retired. There are electrical engineers that design LEDs and there are electrical engineers that design boards for them. And there are significant quality differences in the LEDs and the power supplies that power them. So yea I said there is a...

Open your 2x4 panel and see if the leds look like this?

    Perimeter vs Lite Systems

Then you would be wrong. You don't know what you are talking about on this subject.

    Perimeter vs Lite Systems

As I said, I've played on more types of lights than I can count. Including those you mention. And I don't understand your opinion. ;) And btw, the surface area of the 2x4 has nothing to do with the amount of light it produces. LEDs don't work that way. Also the quality of the LEDs matter a lot.

    Perimeter vs Lite Systems

I bought a perimeter light for my table. Couldn't be happier. After talking with the owner of the business I bought mine with color adjustment and dimming. Very glad I got these features. The perimeter light provides much better light than any rectangles unless the rectangle is larger than the...
