Rugs for under a billiards table

My Son put a 4x8 piece of plywood under his table. We stained it with a nice dark walnut stain and it looks nice. It seems to spread out the weight more and it stays nice and level. I do like the area rugs tho , my Cousin had a nice one under his table and I noticed that my feet do not bother me...

Shaft Question - how to make slick and remove dry wood feel

Thank you Sir , I Appreciate that and feel that way myself. I had my guy cut the shaft down to a 12.5 and put a new tip on and he loves it. It plays nice and shoots good. Does a $1000 cue shoot better maybe , but this cue didn’t cost a $1000. He is well satisfied and has been playing with it 3-4...

Sixteen pool halls in NY win injunction to reopen

It’s even wackier to Elect someone who has been in Politics for 47 years and done nothing and expect him to do something now.

Dale Perry.... Is he shutting down?

Ok just got of the Phone with Dale again and Yes something weird is up. I have been looking at his eBay with no cues listed and I thought well I will call and see if he is making any new ones. He seemed very quick in telling me that he is not in the position to make any Cues right now and he is...

Shaft Question - how to make slick and remove dry wood feel

I also don’t understand what I am supposed to be dodging here. Nor did I ever say anything about Tournament Champ. I just said I won a few back Years ago when I played regularly. Do I not speak your native Language. It seems to me you make this up as you go. Again you are either trying to...

Dale Perry.... Is he shutting down?

True Joss makes a very nice cue. I had one back in the early 90’s that had a leather wrap. I really liked the hit of it.

Shaft Question - how to make slick and remove dry wood feel

So was mine. The kid just started getting into pool. He may love it or in a couple of months forget about and not play anymore. It would seem common sense wise to not buy a higher dollar cue than needed to see if the kid continues to play. If keeps playing in a few months then I can sell the cue...

Shaft Question - how to make slick and remove dry wood feel

I have heard that about the older ones being junky but I would say now most of these import cues come from the same factory. Probably same Chinese factory.

Shaft Question - how to make slick and remove dry wood feel

Thanks 9 ball I Appreciate it. I will look into them. All the local dealer here had was Action cues that had a black sneaky. Some of the greats here seem to look down on Action but a Friend of mine who beat Shannon Daulton to a race to 10 has one that probably 15 years he uses in places he did...

Shaft Question - how to make slick and remove dry wood feel

Gee I thought you would make sure the kid is going to stick with something before you go all out. 2 who says a Action cue is a bad starter cue. 3 how many of you could be beat with a Action Cue. But most of you are Willie Mosconi and Efren rolled up into one tho. Gee the Apa must be begging...

Shaft Question - how to make slick and remove dry wood feel

Ok Slow roll I will try once more for ya. My son just started playing and he wanted a sneaky Pete with Black points and black butt. That is the only one I could find in black. Nobody else under 200 makes a black sneaky. He may not like playing and quit so if he does then so be it. If he decides...

Dale Perry.... Is he shutting down?

Thanks for the info. $250 just seems high for one of his cues. I can get a nice Meucci unmarked M1 for that price.

Shaft Question - how to make slick and remove dry wood feel

We got our younger Son a Action sneaky Pete cue as he is just starting to get into playing. He wanted A black color on the points and butt so that is the only one we could find. The shaft feels really dry. Not slick at all. I normally will go over a new shaft with parchment paper that really...

Dale Perry.... Is he shutting down?

That is a decent price. They look like nice cues. I have played with a JJ cue. But for $ 80 bux I don’t see how you could go wrong. But to tell you the truth my Buddies Players Cocobolo sneaky Pete is really impressive. It plays very nice. I thought about getting one.

Dale Perry.... Is he shutting down?

He is a certified Cue Maker. The one I had was really nice looking. I never shot with it. Did not have it very long. But the finish was really nice. I am interested in his sneaky Pete builds. He told me he bought all the remaining blanks that Valley had. He said he sorted thru them and kept...
