Pool players know that 10 ball is 9 ball without the luck factor. IMO, capitalizing on an obviously intended shot by claiming my opponent didn't "call it" is a bitch move. Ref or not,doesn't matter. Also imo , attempting to claim your obvious fluke was an intended shot when you didn't call it...

Must and shall would be the appropriate term for what many are arguing. But that's not the rule.

APA figured out call shots. Pocket markers. Zero discrepancies about what the intended shot is. Direct and visual.

Seems pretty popular to argue the rules without having read them. "Players are required to call their shot" "Show me" " See, it says they should" Hmm. Should and shall are completely different concepts.

They should take a lesson from APA and have rhe player mark the pocket on called shots to avoid childish discrepancies such as this.

Pool is primarily played in bars and pool halls that exclude children and typically revolves around gambling. I don't see kids being a path for growth.
