New idea for milk dud. Leather conditioner.

Well the stuff that I used actually worked!. In the last reply that I sent I put the name of the product that I used. I went and shot with the tip today. It didn’t fall apart. It shaped well, help chalk and didn’t misscue. Surprisingly it gripped the cue ball really well. Felt in between a...

New idea for milk dud. Leather conditioner.

Actually seems really good. Just got it out of the clamp earlier. It definitely hardened up a bit. I’ll put it on a cue tomorrow and go test it Sunday. When I got it out of the cream yesterday it swelled up and was extremely soft. After I clamped it and left it, the thing went back to normal...

New idea for milk dud. Leather conditioner.

I also have two kamikazes on my two main playing cues. One soft and one medium. They’re really nice tips. I use to shoot with kamui soft or medium and changed to the kamikaze due to the price difference. I’d honestly recommend kamikaze to someone before I’d recommend kamui.

New idea for milk dud. Leather conditioner.

Yeah but what the hell these elk masters are so cheap it’s worth a shot lol. I have one in some now, going to I’m going to throw it into the vise later tonight after it’s been in there for 24 hours. I might have stumbled upon something great or horrible. Probably the horrible side though.

New idea for milk dud. Leather conditioner.

Yeah that’s why I’m thinking this leather conditioner. It reacts with my boots in a way to keep them soft and bendable without cracking or getting hard. My boots are matte black so I bought a conditioner that wouldn’t add oil or a shine. So this reacts with the leather to soften it somehow...

New idea for milk dud. Leather conditioner.

Also the conditioner I have is for my Matte black boots so it doesn’t have any oil to it. It’s meant to feed the leather without giving it a shine.

New idea for milk dud. Leather conditioner.

I know a lot of people soak tips in milk and then press them. I’m wondering if anyone has ever tried using a cream leather conditioner. I have a bottle of it that I use to keep my boots soft and not crease or crack. I don’t have a press or anything, so I might mock something up. I’m wondering...

Wanting to get into making cues. Have questions regarding that topic.

Regardless of how many times it’s been asked. It’s never a bad thing to bring it up again and ask the same thing. You get new people and new outlooks on the same material. Which is always a joy. And if you don’t find joy doing it or talking about it, you’ll never be good at it. Now on my own...

Wanting to get into making cues. Have questions regarding that topic.

Grave39, Just ordered the book!! Thank you. And yes I will try to be cautious lol. Was sitting around with my uncle a few months ago talking about pool cues and he made a joke about me making my own. The idea has been getting a lot more attention to it and now I’m actually looking into doing...

Wanting to get into making cues. Have questions regarding that topic.

I have a background with being a machinist for a couple years. I worked with metal lathes. I’m about to get my hands on an older metal lathe. So I’m wanting to try my hand at construction some cues as a hobby. One of the main questions that I have is what brand of epoxy is recommended for the...

Wanting a 5/16x18 low deflection shaft for a meucci cue.

I’m looking for a LD shaft preferably a skinnier one. And definitely not carbon fiber. I don’t like how they sound or hit the cue ball. If anyone has one for sale around $100-$200 please let me know. I have one of the katana cues that come with the LD shafts and love it. Really wanting to put on...

Tell us about your "cue journey"

My very first cue was given to me from a guy that shot pool with my father. I was around 12-13 at the time and it was a the McDermott with eagles in it. The painted one, not the engraved. I owned the cue all the way up until I left for the army and I ended up giving the cue to a kid around the...

Help with ID of this meucci cue please

Just googled some. All the euro series that I’m seeing are solid color cues. The only model I found that anything close is a world team billiards WTB-4. Except the one in the brochure has a white wood handgrip. This one is black. Unless he got it with a custom black wood grip instead.

Help with ID of this meucci cue please

this year was the 20th anniversary of my fathers passing. So my uncle finally gave me a gift that my father left behind. It was his meucci cue that he shot pool with. I’m really curious as to which model and year it is as with wanting to know the value. I’m not going to sell the cue or anything...
