2025 Reyes Cup, Oct 16-19, Manilla. Team Asia vs Team World

Why have JJ there if coaching means nothing at this point? Ah, the welfare check, got it. Anyway, as many pointed out, the teams were named way too late for both coaches to be effective training wise. At this point, coaches are there to figure the best match ups and boost morale for their...

2025 Reyes Cup, Oct 16-19, Manilla. Team Asia vs Team World

The Mosconi sells thousands of tickets because of the hype and the fact that generally, pool players in America and Britian are not as good relative to the Phillipines so you can sell them a substandard "contest." As SVB once pointed out, even the cleaner at the pool hall in the Philippines got...

2025 Reyes Cup, Oct 16-19, Manilla. Team Asia vs Team World

The Filipinos could go down the street to the nearest pool hall and see better action than this staged contest and they won't even have to pay. The Phillipines Open might only draw crowds from the quarterfinals. Will the players that were sidelined (SVB, Filler, Kos, Oi, Robbie etc.) be there...

Anybody got Busty phone number? Going to make him an offer to drop couple matches so Team Rest of What can get some points 😆 🤣

2025 Reyes Cup, Oct 16-19, Manilla. Team Asia vs Team World

Maybe I'll go for the sure 30k over a "chance" to win 250k. That's not the point though. The point is was he offered and turned down the offer to play on Team Asia. Furthermore, there are many other Asians Oi, Capito, Wu Kun Lin etc. that were more deserving than Manas. 3 Filipino is an...

2025 Reyes Cup, Oct 16-19, Manilla. Team Asia vs Team World

Months ago I told my wife that Manas is going to become a world champion. It takes time, but he has the ingredients.

What your point??? Was he offered a spot and refused. Obviously if he wasn't offered he would play wherever is best for him.

2025 Reyes Cup, Oct 16-19, Manilla. Team Asia vs Team World

Wow, I thought they sacrificed the kid to give Rest of What a point, but he came out with a big win! Kid is definitely going to be a World champion some day, but I still think Ko Ping Chung should have been on the team instead of him. Not buying the BS lie the Ko preferred to be in China ...

2025 Reyes Cup, Oct 16-19, Manilla. Team Asia vs Team World

Jayson Is not nearly what he used to be. Let's see his showmanship when he gets his butt kicked. Matter of fact, he is known to make excuses whenever he loses. BTW, MVP for Mosconi is based on a point system and Jayson played most matches in the those he won MVP, nothing spectacular about that.

2025 Reyes Cup, Oct 16-19, Manilla. Team Asia vs Team World

Do you think they will put him up in a singles match? Oh yeah, against Sky that would be the greatest match on earth for the wnt groupies. Was Reyes there today? The teams picked are the greatest insult to that great man and just as insulting to players who deserve to be on the team. As far...

A new measure of tournament toughness: Harmonic Field Strength

"Eyeballing" I would say 1.W9, 2. US Open, and 3. Peri/W10b. Curious how the results turn out.

A new measure of tournament toughness: Harmonic Field Strength

But how can a 830 vs 820 result in a HFS of 840 ... higher than the individuals.

A new measure of tournament toughness: Harmonic Field Strength

I would be definitely more interested in the second event (830 vs 820) over a 850 vs 780 although the HFS is the same for both events. Maybe going to 16 or 32 will present a truer picture of the strengths of the events. Funny that the numbers came out the same in my example though lol Okay...

A new measure of tournament toughness: Harmonic Field Strength

Good idea. Spectators are more interested in watching matches streamed on TV/YouTube that have 2 strong players that’s why there is much more interest at the single elimination stage. I could not watch any match for the Hanoi Open streamed on YouTube, albeit I was speeding through looking for...

WNT Hanoi Open 2025, Vietnam, Oct 7-12

Exactly! The Mosconi and now the Reyes Cup picks have shown what a joke Miss Emily leadership have proven to be. They want and reward loyalty, but seasoned players are dumping them for whatever they think is best for them. Matchroom is making millions and rewarding the players with peanuts...

    Men's 2025 World 8-Ball Championship, Bali, Oct.7-13

Amazing that no individual won the World 8, 9 and 10 ball (hope I am not wrong 😉)Not even Efren. I believe SVB will be the first to do it. He was close in the World 10 ball this year.
