US Open (9 ball) 2024, August 19-24, Atlantic City

For me, I believe it's more of adrenaline pumping that causes the hand sweating. Being a trapshooter, I know that adrenalin is your friend because that's when you are concentrating the most. People sometimes confuse heart pumping with anxiety, but if you understand that it's more of adrenalin...

Everyone can look. But only a few can see.

Could it be that you recognize it and do not need to determine if it's 14.5 or 14.5629 degrees 😆 Still learning this game, but I believe having and idea of the cut angle allows your brain to process what is going to happen to the CB after striking the OB so you can adjust your speed and spin...

I guess I have palmar hyperhidrosis too. Whenever I get to the final ball my hands start pouring so I have to wipe my un-gloved hand and the cue butt, before I shoot. I noticed Filler does that too. Yeah, it upset people you are playing against when you have to wipe your hand frequently...

At 4, 2 Fedor said something about the left side of the table and a bunch of people came over and took a look. Nothing was done and that held the match up for a while.

Does this work regardless of the speed you hit the CB and what about accounting for throw effects?

Everyone can look. But only a few can see.

What about plain balls without even numbers as FXBilliards suggests you should use for practice?

Everyone can look. But only a few can see.

I get what you are saying. In fact, since you do not play with a protractor in your pocket the easiest way to identify a 30 degree cut is when your aim line passes through the edge of the OB ...at least that's the way I understand it. I think the micro-dot on the equator has to be adjusted...

You can only hope their marketing strategy works because I am not going to be one if their customers. The only site that sells my info an i have to keep using them is Google because I am held captive with no other option. If I know this site sells info, as some claim, I'll be gone in a...

Everyone can look. But only a few can see.

I guess you are saying the same thing as straightline above. I am not yet at a point where I can recognize patterns quickly. I hope to get there someday. I noticed that there is a general consensus that pool players are willing to give advice. I personally have not experienced that. When I...

Everyone can look. But only a few can see.

Marked this thread for reading because I thought I would be able to find some nuggets in it, but was bitterly disappointed. From what I understand there is a difference between looking and seeing. In trapshooting, "looking" is basically what you call a soft focus, where before you call for...

Not trying to beat a dead horse. In a commercial world a customer can chose what they want to buy and I am just not buying MR's offer. You might not be getting emails, but hope that you are aware that you basically sign an agreement to have them mine your device and sell/provide the...

It would have been easier peasier if they didn't require anyone to sign up to see the brackets. I feel like I am being commercialized by their requirement and I am not going to do/allow it.

SVB withdraws from future WPA events

True, I haven't been following pool too much lately. More into trapshooting right now. Any ban hurts the game. Guess WPA knows what it's doing even though it's difficult to comprehend.

I have lost interest in wnt events since they require people to sign up to see the brackets. Not sure who came up with that brilliant idea, but I am not going to sign up.

SVB withdraws from future WPA events

Is there a statement giving the reason(s) for the ban? If there was a clash of events, I could understand, if not, the ban is dumb.

Matchroom WNT Premier League Pool (PLP) 18-25 March2024, Connecticut, $100K Prize Fund

Looks like they are all struggling with the 4 inch pockets. Maybe the schedule is dragging too long also. Each player should play 6 or more matches per day instead of 3 in the first stage using 4 tables even if you stream only 2. It's kinda boring watching struggling players still in the game...

I generally liked the format. I don't think shootouts should be used in a World Championship though. I do like them in the PBS. I had no problem with the commentators understanding that they are trying something new with the remote commentary to save costs. Lastly, I think the Women...
