    Huge day for Chinese Billiards

He showed a lot of heart in this final. That steal in the 9th frame where he showed how straight he can shoot under pressure ... it was huge...made a crack ... and it helped to turn the tide of a fight. It was so impressive. Amazing shooter and one day he might become the first chinese player to...

    Square cored cues?

Kim, you're right about possibilty to make the seam invisible if done right ... there will be also additional work after the blank is divided into pieces to assemble them perfectly so all the grain is back in place... So as I said depends on the goals and how good is the one to make all the work...

Fedor Gorst vs Jeff de Luna 10-ball, race to 100 is coming soon...

After day 2 the score is 70 - 54 Fedor. So Fedor won on both days and it seems like quite a mission to come back on day 3 for Jeff.

    Square cored cues?

I didn't mean there's something wrong from a construction standpoint. On the contrary I can see certain benefits. In fact my good friend who builds great piramid cues ... well he experimented using similar concept to build a shaft blank for the further splicing. When building piramid cues...

    Square cored cues?

I guess It is just his way of building a cue using different construction to achieve similar goals ... What I don't like much in this method ... for example: - those pieces of wood are glued to the square "core" so there are seams between them with common issues ... So when it comes to the look...

why is it too hard to find 17oz cue?

Here is a good option from Schmelke ... which I like. https://www.schmelkecue.com/spc04-prong-rosewood-11mm-60.html.html Simple sneaky butt with nice wood combo. It's available from 15 to 18 oz with a shaft in 60" but I believe they can make it in 58" with no problem. Rosewood in the bottom...

You failed to use some common sense first. Do I have to realize what you're doing and why?

    Revo light reflection?

That was just my common sense ... What is obviously for me those who pay the premium price usually do it to get perfectly what they expected but not to ... nevermind if you did not get it...

Anyone switched from revo 12.4 or 12.9 to the new 11.8?

I remember a thread with a different experience on the difference between 12.4 and 11.8. https://forums.azbilliards.com/threads/is-revo-12-4-the-lowest-deflection-carbon-shaft.522852/page-2#post-6828024. The post #27 So it's difficult to replace your own experience...

Hand size vs cue butt size?

Being pretty close or the same height (I'm 198 sm) and with the same wingspan I know very good about all the possibilities so as the troubles you face. To tell the truth the diameter of my grip area was never my major concern but the length was. I should also add I'm from the country where the...

Wood vs. Carbon Fiber cue ball squirt (with a twist)

Well cues for piramid, the history behing and how the cue-building process developed, the constructions used and so on and on... It's a long but interesting story... There is so much tradition behind and when it comes to the construction some piramid cues are the most complicated out of all for...

why is it too hard to find 17oz cue?

To build around 13 oz butt is not a problem at all. As you already noticed for a price of a P3 with Revo shaft you could get Schmelke cue with their shaft with some custom options so cf shaft matches the butt and the $$ left should be enough for buying any cf you want. I see only bonuses in...

why is it too hard to find 17oz cue?

I believe average weight of radial Revos 12,4 and 11,8 is under 4 oz ... might be around 3,8-3,9 oz. So you're looking for around 13,2 oz butt. Here it is an example with one of the cues I'm finishing for a kid I coach. The 29 inch butt itself is 433 gramms (15,28 oz). It has a brass pin 1,4...

Well I'm from the country where piramid is the major billiard game. So I do know something), play, teach in this game too because there is more interest to it here. For this game I do have a piramid cue with traditional spliced construction. So as I enjoy playing pool more ... I do have my own...
