Cues - it seems like more simple design is were it is at ?

When it comes to my liking about the cues...my major concern is how they play. Of course I also try my best to educate my eye and learn about designing them. I love simple players. I enjoy the beauty of nature when I look at some woods and just trying to choose the combination of woods that...

    ferruleless shafts

My current player I've built for myself is with a ferrule less LD-shaft. I love the way it feels and performs but it is combination of materials used and the construction. It is my first experience playing pool with a shaft in such construction. It was an experiment I was curious to try and I'm...

Joint Pin In Shaft Instead Of Butt

When it comes to the cue with a wooden pin... Well I've built one recently and had some fun. https://forums.azbilliards.com/showthread.php?t=509787 There were quite a few things I faced for the first time during this project. Before I started I had to decide exactly the same...where to have a...

best cue up to a 1,000 dollars

If you know your preferences...what exactly you're looking for then with your budget you should not have problems finding a good player. Of course it depends on ... you're looking for a new cue ordered from the maker or it is also ok to look for a used one. Then you just go for example here in...

Thoughts on CF shaft for jumping

I see only one major reason for c.f. jumpers not being most popular - they're expensive atm. I don't agree with what you're saying about c.f. being no good material for jumping. In fact I believe breaking and jumping - these are two aspects of the game of pool where c.f. has certain advantages...

What the desired size in a shaft ? what is your prefernce.

Absolutely agreed). It's a pity I've never had possibility to play english pool (there are no tables for english pool in my country) and just a few times I could try carom when there was possibility. It's fun and useful to try new games which demand some new knowledge and skills.

What the desired size in a shaft ? what is your prefernce.

8 mm tips in snooker is the same extreme as lets say 11 mm tip at american pool. I don't think the majority plays pool with 11mm tip so as most in snooker use from 9 to 9,5 mm at the tip. At least that is my observation and what I'm comfortable with. You're absolutely right about conical taper...

What the desired size in a shaft ? what is your prefernce.

The answers are so simple and pretty logical. You would not ask this would you ever played snooker with a good snooker cue, no matter one piece or 3/4. Have you seen many snooker players using closed bridge, glove ...so on? They are old school and still improve using 0,40$ chalks and not so...

    Mezz Ignite CF Shaft Review

There are some contradictions in your review... My experience tells Revo (I've tested 12,9) is the stiffiest shaft I've ever tried and many complain about a ping sound...while I did not notice that or I've just had so much fun testing it that just did not notice). Becue Prime-M shaft may have...

So you think those who were dreaming about Revo but 500$ was too much now they may hope about getting it for let's say 400$? I have no interest...:D Real poolfans are just so special and have seen enough hard times I guess;). For the time being this quarantine only gives me opportunities and so...

    CF blank foam

I've already made a hint in the other thread about one of the possibilities to fill it using those...;) I have a few blanks on order and waiting till they are available. The delay is due to the current situation. I've got some good expectations on their quality but as I said the most interesting...

    CF blank foam

If your only concern is the weight and the blank itself weighs 80 gramms then you're good just to add let's say phenolic insert, if you will need to add also a female brass insert count it too. The question what is your desired weight... If your goal is something like 100-110 gramms then it's a...
