Who is known to make the most forward balanced cue "butt"??

I might have something interesting for you. You could remember me from some discussions here ...about cf shafts for example. Cue-building came out my hobby recently. So as I'm used to learn by doing I started with the cues for myself experimenting. Being tall my needs and preferences when it...

Another fresh playing set from Kiev, Ukraine.

So as cue-building is first of all a creative jorney-hobby I enjoy ... I'm learning it by doing and then testing the results at the table. I don't build much so as I have my main occupation - teaching, coaching billiards, organizing some tournaments so on. Unfortunately due to russian invasion...

Another fresh playing set from Kiev, Ukraine.

Here is another fresh colorful cue I finished just before the Russian invasion. The butt is built on a full length Pau Rosa core which compliments the hit of this cue. The forearm and butt sleeve are flamed maple. The segmented handle is colorful stabilized maple burl. The joint collar is moose...

Nice fresh playing cue from Kiev, Ukraine.

There are two cues I finished not long before the Russian invasion of my country. Here is the first one with some really nice woods. The forearm and buttsleeve are African blackwood which is quite difficult to find in such quality nowadays. It is very old (from the year of 1967). The...

    Time for some segmented handles

As usual had some fun while working on these ones. The one with some blue is a gift for my beloved wife. Two are ready and will be for sale soon. The other two are waiting for some final steps and at the moment I'm pleased how they are coming out;).

Installing a ferrule without a tenon

Why not just ferrule less...because if I understand right what you described it is not a ferrule but an insert under the tip...so you're looking for more deflection or what? Even thinking out of the box you have certain goal to achieve...so what was yours behind this idea?)

New take on a carbon shaft.

Cool? That's just looks "funny" to say at least...but may be it's just me. For me if one likes those benefits cf shafts offered ... just take it its simple and natural look with no deco rings what so ever...better think about the butt design to match it the best. Those cf shafts were designed...

    JJ ball cleaning foul

Unfortunately (ihmo) JJ failed to use his 30 seconds for the shot wisely. He knew the shot that needs to be done. The pot was not hard but playing position on the next ball bearing in mind where the CB was and circumstances ...well that is another story... Would he come to the table to visualize...

    Exciting End to European Championship

It is worth to add that 9-ball is the last discipline in EC marathon and the toughest one. The winner also gets his ticket to the World Games which makes it even more attractive and valuable. On a final day Filler defeated Feijen 9:8 in 1/4 being down 3:6, 5:8. This match was streamed on EPBF...

    cuetec breach taom tip issues

One of my students had bought Cuetec Breach Ghost break cue last month. He has no problems with it or with a tip. He used Taom break/jump tip on his previous breaker with no issues too. Our current best ukrainian player uses Taom break /jump tip on his Mezz Power Break G and he also used it on...

Mezz Power Break G break cue review

You might be right about the Mezz's butt being thicker. I believe it has more meat coming from the middle to the end so it's thicker at the grip area. At least that is definitely the case if comparing the tapers on Predator's playing butts to Mezz's. So that might be the major factor to consider...
