    vertically-challenged, horizontally

Your MORE than welcome. I learned a long time ago that sinking money into custom pool cues was not the smartest of decisions. On the other hand, I found that a lower to mid-level production cue can be bought and modified to be all we need/want in a playing cue. Talk to you soon sir. Jeff

    vertically-challenged, horizontally

I replied in your first thread about balance point. As I said in the other thread, for very little money any competent cue guy can modify the cues balance point without changing total cue weight. To move balance point forward = remove pin, epoxy a small weight bolt in nose, install new pin...

    a balanced observation- ?

Hey gruven, You don't need to buy a custom cue to have most any cue balanced the way you like it. For $60 or $70 my cue guy will take the pin out, add desired weight to nose of butt and install new pin. Bam.....new balance point. Any competent cue guy can move the balance point forward or...

So, how much did he lose ?

There is always an exception and you picked one that is very strong. I agree sir. I too should hold my tongue WAY more often. Jeff

So, how much did he lose ?

Most paid streams don't get even half the attention the stream in question is still getting days after it happened. That just shows that pool players are way worse than old ladies when it comes to drama/gossip. To bad you can't recoup some of the loss with the stream.... Jeff

I didn't read the thread before posting the first time, only your OP. After reading all of your posts, I feel comfortable recommending you to buy a mid-level production cue in the price range of $400 to $600. Play with it and enjoy it without worrying about spending your hard earned money on...

    mottey , black , nitti

Like some I've played some very, very expensive custom cues that played like crap "to me". I've also played with cheap production cues that ran circles around the customs that cost several thousand each. Like everything pool, you have to find a way to put your hands on said equipment. Asking...

    Fast Player or Slow Player?

Depends on: How much is in the middle. and My chances of being the favorite. Pool is like a dirty job. If the money is right, I was always willing to endure unpleasantness. On the other hand, if the money wasn't right, well....time to drag up unless it was a super cushy job. When playing...

BEST POOL TABLE ?? Diamond or this Gold Crown ???

Jay, I've played on a couple of gc 6 tables and I didn't notice any differences from the 5's although the gc 6 is a very, very pretty table. Then again, I don't believe I've ever seen a gc that wasn't pretty. Like you siad, "the installer controls the playability" from table to table within the...

BEST POOL TABLE ?? Diamond or this Gold Crown ???

Like most older gents, I played on GC's in my youth. Having said that, I now own a diamond pro-am because from time to time I play/gamble with certain players that play on diamonds almost exclusively. I'm already at a disadvantage when I play some of them since they play pool for a living and...

    Jumping with a revo shaft

The bk rush cf shaft jumps pretty good, but I prefer a heavier shaft for jumping..."dymondwood" is my preference for a jump shaft. If you prefer a lighter jump cue, the cf shaft paired with any handle will be a good choice. Jeff

Filler vs Kiamco in Roy's Basement

Ball runner's without 1hole experience tend to fall by the waste side when playing seasoned 1hole players. Does anyone know roughly how much 1hole experience Filler has??? Jeff

Gold Crown Barn Find: The Blue Table and Custom Light

I love your table. I bet it plays absolutely perfect. I also love the way the room itself looks. I like modern looking rooms but, I love rooms that bring back memories of old stomping grounds. Congrats.... Jeff

I know weight is a matter of preference, but I got a question

If both shots are with the same "stroke speed".....the heavier cue will produce more distance as long as all other variables are identical. Having said that, 99% of the free world can heat the cb up more with a slightly lighter cue since they can produce a faster "stroke speed" with less...

    The Young Guns Match-Up

Hey Jay, do you know if RA is backing either player? If so, my money is on them. RA doesn't book many losers.
