Just like the title says, if your like some and staying in your house until things get back to normal, use the time to play the ghost and post the vid to the ghost challenge thread. While your at it, give some green to Iusetoberich for all the work he does to help make AZB a better place. BTW...

Is Schmidt's and charlie 626 Legit

Yep. PJ, at least Danny was smart enough to jump that ship before it went under, unlike some others that still do their best to grapple at weak theories. It should be called ghost theories because when ask, they won't even give a reason to why they won't except Bob's review as gospel. Takes...

Pics or it didn't happen BB....u arshat. I'm not scared of work in the least, I will lay down beside it and go to sleep and think nothing of it. I don't have to worry about working since nobody would hire my old crippled a55 in the first place. I ask my employer of over 35 years if I could...

The single most overlooked part of game play: kicking

Sounds like a smart man. Then again l, I knew that already from the PM conversations. Jeff

The single most overlooked part of game play: kicking

I've never dedicated that much effort to shooting off handed. After I recover from my surgeries I may have to give it another go. Maybe I just didn't put enough work into off handed play. Thanks for the incentive. It's funny how we find encouragement in places we least expect. Again, thanks...

The single most overlooked part of game play: kicking

I can't even find my left hand (right handed). If not for extensions and a bridge, I would be dead in the water. I try ever now and then to shoot off handed. It's truly the hardest thing I've ever experienced in pool. Jeff

Aggravated by my team...pizzed off a more apt description

You have a good point. Me personally, I hate to play anything team oriented. I've always looked at pool as a 1-on-1 sport. I do have a couple friends that play in a master's league. They say they love it eventhough, they complain nonstop. Having said that, I have entertained the idea of...

I agree!!!!!! That time could be spent working on his game instead of the BS. Jeff

The single most overlooked part of game play: kicking

Yes sir, the bridge is almost never used in drills by most and especially mid to lower level amateurs. IMO, the older generation, as you said, are more out to kick and I believe they are more out to use the bridge as well. Jeff

The single most overlooked part of game play: kicking

I too would like to see jump cues banned in all tournament play. I doubt that will ever happen but, oh my, if they did it would be mayhem for many. When playing a private match, I always ask my opponent (before starting the match) to not use jump cues. Sometimes they agree, most of the time...

The single most overlooked part of game play: kicking

I was told many years ago: "Find what works and go from there but, never take the, "if it's not broke, don't fix it" mentality, because that is settling and not striving for improvement" Jeff

The single most overlooked part of game play: kicking

Good point. In the end, if people would start putting more emphasis on kicking by feel/systems either way, their levels of play would jump considerably. Jeff

The single most overlooked part of game play: kicking

Going by feel only is IMO, the most unreliable way to kick but, if one gets to be accurate with feel, they will be all the more accurate if they tie their feel game to a system. To me, feel and systems go hand in hand. I believe that feel should be learned first and then coupled with as many...

2020 AZB Ghost Challenge - Official Thread

Enjoyed the read. We look forward to seeing the vids. I hope the longer races catch on. Win or lose, IMO, longer races put us in a position to be able to come back or try to keep a lead once we get out front. It's easy to win a race to 7 if one gets some rolls and wins the first 3 or 4 games...

What the desired size in a shaft ? what is your prefernce.

Once a person reaches a certain level they should be able to play with any shaft within reason after an adjustment period. I'm ok with any shaft between 13.5 mm and 11 mm. I'm more interested in the taper of a shaft. Taper, size and length depen on one another. Jeff

The single most overlooked part of game play: kicking

In hindsight, I think I should have not used the word "overlooked". instead, I should have said,: "people are aware of the need to kick well but, few people do anything about it". It like in bodybuilding, everyone works on chest and arms but, few concentrate on squats and deadlifts. Just...

The single most overlooked part of game play: kicking

If were talking mid-level pros and up, your correct. But, if we only talk about amateurs up to the lower-level pros, well, IMHO, your wrong, dead wrong. If we look at matches between the elite and lower-level pros, the biggest gap between them will be their saftey play. All pros from the least...
