The single most overlooked part of game play: kicking

there are many different systems. some systems are very, very similar to the, while others are not. Some systems are easier to understand and execute while others are not. ^^^^^^^^ that's why it is so important to learn all systems because some people will learn "x" system and understand and...

does a ref warn a player breaking outside the box or call foul?

Every player should know and follow the rules for the tournament they are playing. Nobody should feel the need to warn anyone about anything while in game play. However, discussing the rules before hand is a good idea eventhough, it will not change the rules regardless of who agrees or...

The single most overlooked part of game play: kicking

There are several different ways to do most anything and pool is no different. Some use a long bridge every shot. Some use a short bridge every shot, while some use a bridge length that is needed per the shot's request. In other words, each shot needs a "specific" bridge length, height...

Gorst shot: how is he aiming?

4.5 = cb value (before adjustment) 4.5 would go to pocket. Adjusting (pivot) to 5 moves trackline to target behind ob. 1.5 diamonds out from corner pocket behind ob is new target

Gorst shot: how is he aiming?

The 2 ball was extremely easy to hit from behind off the end rail....very easy because the ball was huge from that direction being close the rail. Trying to make it was a "hail mary" and I doubt he missed the two rail kick so bad he hit it in the back of the head.....very unlikely. Like i...

Is Schmidt's and charlie 626 Legit

They say the guilty dog always barks first. Lou, you do realize sir that I didn't direct that post toward you. If I direct a specific post toward a specific person, I will for sure put said person's name in the post. Not saying you can't reply to any of my post without your name being...

Gorst shot: how is he aiming?

He did this: 1. Found cb value......it was 4.5 to 4.5.....to pocket! 2. Estimated adjustment needed to hit ob. (Since ob was partly blocked by 4 ball, he decide to go off end rail. To do that, all he did was add 1.5 diamonds to end rail target) 3. Since end target is not the pocket, he...

Possible to make a Triangle tip softer?

It sounds like you need to learn "how" to maintain a tip and also "when" to maintain it. Lots of people mess with their tips way to often. The tip manufacturer's love you big time. Jeff

Is Schmidt's and charlie 626 Legit

If Willie himself gave a nod to John, certain people would still not acknowledge the run. They cannot see past their own hatred. Jeff

Is Schmidt's and charlie 626 Legit

Well, like others, Im wondering what the leaders of the "it didn't happen" club have to say to Bob Jewett in regard to his report on John Schmidt's 626 run? Bob, it sounds like you had a really good time. I'm really glad to hear your thoughts about the "FACTS" that surround John's run. Again...

    Stick on table for alignment

If you opponent is kicking your a55.....it's not because they are touching the table with their cue or sitting the chalk on the rail. If they are beating your a55, it's most definitely because they: Have a more solid PSR better pattern play etc...etc......etc If I'm gambling with someone, I...

    Best playing cue under $1,000

OP, I play with a predator roadline5 with a revo 12.4 shaft that my wife gave to me as an anniversary gift. It took what seemed like forever to adjust to the cf shaft but, once I did, well, it was off to the races (literally). Having said the above, I always preferred custom cues that were...

2020 AZB Ghost Challenge - Official Thread

Hey Gerry, Thanks....I'm doing better. It's just gonna take time..... Gerry, really, really long races are IMO, a much better gauge to find our strengths and weaknesses. Also, IMO, the pro ghost should be used at least half the time. The good thing about the ghost, he never quits or says...

    Deuel versus Chohan

At their level of play: World beater level is all that counts. All you guys need to remember that when you bring up names of "world beaters"....well, that's the direction that any intelligent player will take. I never said he had to lose to anyone. What I did say....and I'm saying now is...

    Deuel versus Chohan

I agree. I love players that are only able to play one particular game. They always have more weaknesses than a well rounded player will ever have. Being a one table player is just as bad. By being a "one game" only player, they are more out to be a sheep than the Goat. Jeff
