The shot clock is also a cool feature. I didn't know it had that. How does it work? The clock starts when the cueball stops? And what do they people at Aramith say about this project? To them it must also be the most innovative thing that happened in a long while.

Nice review! And it really seems we see the birth of something quite revolutionairy to the game. Congrats @nataddrho, it must be very rewarding to get such positive reception after all the hard work and development! Im very curious how this will impact the training of amateurs, but also for the...

    RIP Justin Ramos aka 'justnum'......................

Maybe it was his pet project? Or a place to vent his odd thoughts? Or he had episodes of psychiatric issues that made him think he was posting sensible things? What puzzles me is that he has been a prolific poster for so long. That requires a lot of time and energy. All while maintaining a...

    RIP Justin Ramos aka 'justnum'......................

Ad 1) this could be the premisse of a movie where it's discovered that he was really a math professor documenting coded governement secrets here on AZ for some mysterious foreign actor.

    RIP Justin Ramos aka 'justnum'......................

We should create a dataset of his 19k posts and: 1) ask AI to distill whatever he was trying to convey. 2) train an agent to keep posting in his style at random intervals on random posts.

    RIP Justin Ramos aka 'justnum'......................

Well RIP indeed. I always thought he was not sane and with this info I even more wonder why he would put so much time in posting in the way he did. Abother possibility could be that someone used his photo, but it does seem likely it's him as he's no longer posting and an imposter would not use...

Keith McCready got money from his dad to play money games against his dad. Unethical?

Kind of related: Judith Polgar, the best woman in chess by far, was raised by a father that believed you can create excellence in any kid if you train it young enough and systematically. He did that with his 3 daughters. 2 became grandmasters, one those the GOAT of female chess. Unethical no...

Keith McCready got money from his dad to play money games against his dad. Unethical?

Garczar "your posts are stupid, but I keep coming back to post how stupid this is". In the end I dont mind. I know at AZ there will always be a bunch of grumpy people that'll dislike whatever. I know you don't like me and that is fine. Like you said, it's a public forum so I will keep posting...

Keith McCready got money from his dad to play money games against his dad. Unethical?

This shines some light on the matter. From a biological perspective it would not be smart to do this at too young of an age. The developing child brain could become extra receptive for gambling at later age (in theory) or already be more vulnerable for such dopamine shots. Just like children are...

Keith McCready got money from his dad to play money games against his dad. Unethical?

Im not judging them. I wonder in general if it's unethical and what the pros and cons are for a kid. If I recall correctly the documentary presented it as unethical. And I wondered.. Is it? Making a kid play money games with the money he earned selling lemonade: unethical. But if you give...

Dr. Dave’s GREATEST HITS - Best Shots, Flukes, and Silly Moments Over the Years

I have not yet watched, but again I like to express how lucky pool is to have someone so dedicated to the game. Not only scientifically, but also really bringing the matter to life with fun and interesting stuff.

Keith McCready got money from his dad to play money games against his dad. Unethical?

I think it was in a video about Keiths life where I heard that his father, a pool room owner, gave Keith money to play money games against his dad. Of course it's not great to expose a kid to gambling. But is it unethical? Would it be beneficial in some way to learn about losing and winning...

One handed break challenge... let's see what you got!

Playing single handed is fun and it's amazing how accurate and with control you can play.. some shots.. Other shots get completely fumbled. But it's still entertaining and makes me realize that back hand does a lot more than I might assume.

The problem with ultra tight pockets is that players then can only take simple shots. Pool is also fun to watch because the players play combo's, banks and other cool high risk shots. I do agree that run outs are a little boring, even though they are a real demonstration of elite skill.
