Who wants to test 14.1 Sequence?

Lets say it's a race to 200. And it's 112 vs 176. 112-guy is shooting and he sees a sequence of 8 shots that he could make with some luck. It's his shot to come close to 176. He'll be shooting the sequence and either make it and things are getting competitive again or he sees at the 6th shot...

Who wants to test 14.1 Sequence?

Here the 10-ball is the obvious breakball. I decide to shoot a sequence: 4B - 5E - 12B - 10C It's impossible to do a longer sequence because I don't know yet how the balls will be ordered in the rack. So ill just shoot these 4 balls, break the rack and from there on see what the table gives...

Who wants to test 14.1 Sequence?

It's certainly a possibility. My hopes is that it fits our thinking more than expected. Because we look ahead 3 shots anyway. And when those 3 shots look easy, then it's time to consider a sequence. And if you decide to call a sequence it's a matter of considering if you're going to add more...

Who wants to test 14.1 Sequence?

Much appreciate giving it a look with open mind! 🙂 It is continuous! Just like in 14.1 continuous, you'll rack again when you got to the last break ball. If you pot the break ball and the rack breaks open you'll have 14 balls on the table. From there on only a Pool God could theoretically...

    Elimin-8-ball

YES THE RUMORS ARE TRUE The first ever tournament of Elimin-8-ball (and 14.1 Sequence) is set to played on January the 20th. I'll try to livestream it through Facebook, no guarantees.

@ChrisinNC here it is, this should help. Ranked WNT players will get priority 😁

Who wants to test 14.1 Sequence?

I wouldn't say it makes it more challenging. It adds a high risk high reward element to the game. In you're head you're already "calling sequences". But how deep do you dare to say it out loud? I think the dynamic will be pretty different from regular straight pool. I'm making a video...

Who wants to test 14.1 Sequence?

I realised there needs to be a cap for the points per ball. The points increased too steep. Changed it to 3 = 2p per ball 4-7 = 3p 8-10 = 4p 10+ is increasingly better Calling 10+ shots and run them is a feat. But like this smaller runs are worthwhile too.

    The Reyes Cup

I think he had the line he more or less wanted. If the cue ball stopped earlier, about a foot, it would've been an easy shot.

    The Reyes Cup

I think he didn't want to be snookered by the 9 and rather end up long than short.

    The Reyes Cup

Correct I clipped the shot. Amused was not the right word, sceptical. But in no way actually concerned. When I saw the roll I cheered "this is misable!!" when I saw the look it was clear that he would make it.

    The Reyes Cup

😰 Europe has great players, but I just can't see them winning. These guys have this extra level of perfection and a relaxed flow that few Euro's have. I recall a World cup final between Holland and Phillipines. In the last rack Phillipines got out of line on the 8 leaving a long pot with a thin...

Who wants to test 14.1 Sequence?

For my first test the main thing to test will be: is it too easy to score double digits points? Because I think it is. To make it a bit harder I'll add a rule for a sequence: In a sequence sequential balls cannot be called in the same pocket. This is not too complex or limiting and it ensures...
