    last pocket

Lol, yes, there are some stupid rules, but on a bar table you have to work within certain parameters. I'm not about to tell someone on their home court how to play. I just roll with it. Still fun! Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

    last pocket

That's how I play, and all the Mexican dudes play that way near where I work. You pick any pocket for your opponent. Why would you want to give him the same pocket as yours? Makes no sense. Limits your options for safety play. I like last pocket because it's similar to one hole. And it makes...

Minor Update to Hagan - Phenolic Bumper

Yeah, I thought about that, but I don't mind the extra protection. Can always make more. I think the third picture shown, it's not screwed in all the way, so it looks longer than it really is once tightened. Looks like a brown KU bumper almost. My pics are pretty crap, should update them.

Minor Update to Hagan - Phenolic Bumper

My rubber bumper broke, and none of the ones I have fit well very well, so I made one that fits perfect and is more durable. Losing a bit of vibration dampening, but gaining feedback, tone and style!!

Hey Trav, can you repost pics of this refinish job? Curious to see copper on that cue.

Isn't it cue of the year time/

+1 on this, I'd be down to put in a vote. Cue of the year was always fun! Side note, it would be easy to derail this thread talking about Facebook. Hope that doesn't happen.

Name a pool hall you wish was still open today

Has anyone said Chochran's in SF??? I hear that place was legendary back in the day. There were probably another few great places in Norther California

    Helmstetter

Sweet. Best way to get a fancy trad style cue on a budget. Love old Adam cues, and by extension, Helmstetter.

    Trying to identify this..

If it was made in SoCal, then maybe Myron Yoshizawa or Yoshigawa (sp?), or Mike Montalvo. But he worked for Carmeli, and I don't think he used many radial pins. Anyone know if Al Romero does joints like this?

    Trying to identify this..

If it was 3/8x10, I'd ask if you want to sell. Nice cue. Simple players like this don't get any better. If it's from California, I can tell you who didn't make it if that helps. It's not a Teeter, Stonier, Coker, Kirby, Tonkin, or Koo. Hardly any of these guys used radial ball screws, and most...

    DIY Case Experiments

Nice job, would love to see the tube case when finished. Only case work I've done is with interiors, but nothing that extreme. Sounds like a fun project! Also, see this thread, post #9 --- http://forums.azbilliards.com/showthread.php?422708&p=5503255#post5503255 This is an easy way to...

    Best case interior for linen

Agreed. @Pat - My Hagan was wrapped (linen) by BCM years ago and it's still the smoothest wrap I've ever felt... and has stayed that way. I use a Ron Thomas 2x4. My other case is custom made and re-lined by myself with a bolt of some type of green cotton fabric. Wish I remember the type...

    old beat to sh*t joss

Anyone have a block letter Joss or Josswest beater cue? Saw one for sale on FB a while back but owner seemed to still think it was worth thousands. Never owned one, shouldn't be buying new cues, but always was curious. No inlays, four pointer veneers, simple is better. I should have...

    Cue photos - Your setup

Check the cue and case gallery in the sub forum. It's the place where everyone shows pics of their old and new acquisitions. On your last note, I would like to see a thread on Cue Displays. Super cheesey, but always wanted to make a wooden rack (samurai type display) for my cues at home where...
