PPV July 28 Bergman vs D.Harriman Full rack banks 3 sets

Full Rack Banks I was just engaging in a bit of woofing, then got afraid I might spoil your action if you really were working on that other match-up ... A couple thoughts on this match-up between Bergman and Harriman: Everyone I ever met at Billiards of Springfield (now gone but not...

PPV July 28 Bergman vs D.Harriman Full rack banks 3 sets

Might be best not to speculate too much and wait and see what happens. It’s a delicate thing handling matter and antimatter in proximity.

PPV July 28 Bergman vs D.Harriman Full rack banks 3 sets

Brendan, Someone told me John Schmidt was coming to the STL Players Club soon. I don't have to tell you what match-up would make the greatest coup in the history of pool ... Straight Pool. Race to 627.

July 1st - DCC Style All-Around Exhibition - Justin Bergman vs Justin Hall

Bergman won banks 3-1, 9-ball 9-5 and one pocket 3-0. At one pocket, there were a couple shots by Hall that looked like he played them perfectly yet got a bad roll. One of those led to a 7-and-out by Bergman, if I remember correctly.

Ronnie Alcano, Francisco Bustamante or Dennis Orcollo? Who's better?

Jay Helfert has lived in the Philippines and knows the pool scene there first-hand shared some valuable information about the relative rankings of players there ... https://forums.azbilliards.com/showpost.php?p=6616562&postcount=32 The current consensus in the Philippines is that Efren and...

I’d also like to give a “shout out” to Pat Fleming and Accu-Stats. I had some questions about how to score TPA for some less common 9-ball scenarios and Pat was quick to answer with a personal email. Let’s not forget that he’s trying to make a living doing this. Go beyond subscribing to free...

Any pool rooms open mornings or 24 hours anymore ?

Sorry, I meant his son. Don, right? Both father and son played excellent 3-cushion with high runs around 14. I believe Steve’s high run is about the same. I visited Raytown Rec on Christmas Day and enjoyed talking with everybody there. Met Stanley Burleson too and wish I had got to see him shoot...

Any pool rooms open mornings or 24 hours anymore ?

Thanks for the update on current status of Raytown Rec. I hope that Doug Brink and Steve Hassellman are doing well. They are fantastic people. Doug is the best 3-cushion player that I've seen in person and Steve has a couple Missouri state championships under his belt. Both treated me well...

Any pool rooms open mornings or 24 hours anymore ?

The Rack in Memphis was open 24 hours prior to the shutdown. I believe that they have reopened but do not know if they returned to their previous schedule. Another room that was open "nearly" 24 hours prior to the shutdown was Raytown Rec near Kansas City. They operated a full three shifts for...

First states to reopen Pool Halls?

Regarding Arizona ... so no further restrictions on pool rooms like Bullshooters or Main Street Billiards in Phoenix or Pockets in Tucson other than those for a non-pool establishment serving food and alcohol? Should we expect most or all pool halls to be open on May 11th?

    filipino pecking order

How good was the guy who finished dead last in that tourney? I'm getting the impression that he was nowhere near what we'd call a "shortstop" (say Fargo > 650) and A lot closer to one of our best. Maybe Fargo 750. Which would include guys like Hillbilly, Bertram, Robb Saez, Stevie Moore...

    filipino pecking order

This says a lot. Any system where Efren and Bustamante are considered "second tier" (no matter their age) is indeed rarefied air. I wonder how these tiers correspond to Fargo ratings. Typically 720 is the threshold for Top 100 players in the U.S. It's starting to look only a few Americans could...

Willie Mosconi: The Basement Tapes Looks like this has been shared here before, but it's been a few years. I just found the video on YouTube and thought others would like to see it, too, especially in light of John Schmidt's 626. Credit goes to AZBilliards user dmgwalsh who was responsible...

How to Score Concession in Accu-Stats TPA

Another Question about Scoring TPA Does Accu-Stats basically treat every inning beyond a run-out or planned safety first time at the table as ending due to Position Error? Almost like “playing the ghost” where one Miss causes you to lose the game. Or is some judgment allowed for whether or not...

How to Score Concession in Accu-Stats TPA

How do you mark the scoresheet when someone concedes the game ball? Here’s a real world example of what I’m talking about ... Source:http://www.sfbilliards.com/accustats/V1_N06.pdf Marking zero for balls pocketed and then circling for the win seems to penalize the incoming player through no...

Mark Wilson Pool Clinc on YouTube

A Good Closing Thought “Build your own house.” That’s a good thing to remember when it comes to instruction whether in person or through books and video. Ultimately you have to settle on a method that works for you. “One size doesn’t fit all,” as I said earlier. I think the really good...

Right Foot on the Shot Line To be fair, Mark Wilson also recommends having the toes of the right foot on the shot line. The photos in the book do show Mark’s toes about half an inch to the left of the painters tape on the shot line. I think the photo is just a case of “close enough”; what’s...

Stance for Different Body Types Dave, your book has been another great asset to me. I can't wait to watch your video, but can I offer a suggestion? Ask one or two people who aren't the same "shape" as you to help with the demonstration. As someone who isn't tall, it was hard to imagine...
