I can relate to the treasure hunting, i get that. But won‘t the original sets not stay rare and sought after anyway? I am just thinking, if some people just pay premium prices because they have no other alternative in finding a specific looking set. Aren‘t the 2 sets from the Billiard Museum a...

    Pool Ball Collecting.

Is it unviable for manufacturers like Aramith to make small runs of older sets again? There is obviously a market for balls like the Roman numbers, Card Ball/Poker Pool balls with suits on them, and so on. I mean if they see, that these old sets sell for a big amount second hand, won‘t they...

    Is this a 4 player 8-Ball set?

    Pool Ball Collecting.

I checked the old FCP Games website vie Wayback Machine, and the Harlequin Pool website as well. And I looked at the Facebook page. I could find a few informations, pictures, and rules for 8 games which were advertised. Nothing more. All the websites are down, so provided emails won’t work...

    Pool Ball Collecting.

Thank you so far! So my dice colors are completely wrong, or they used different color distributions. Which I assume is not the case, thinking of production costs. And my cards need some refinement as well… Do we have any French or BeNeLux members here as well? I would need some help...

    Pool Ball Collecting.

What a nice set! So sad for the damaged ball, but I hope you can replace it. I would be most delighted, if I can get the rules for all the games. That would be very kind of you to do for me. So far I played 3-4 games with a friend, for which the rules I found on the old Harlequin Balls Facebook...

    Pool Ball Collecting.

Oh, and I don’t want to spoil too much as well from my collection. I am currently developing a private website for myself, where I made a full gallery of my whole collection so far. The main part will be a list of billiards and pool games, I have acquired over 450 different game rules so far...

    Pool Ball Collecting.

I was just not sure, if it were cheap Aramith balls, or if they sold me Chinese knock off balls 🙃 I bought them for EUR 43,- but now they rose to 72,- which made me curious as well if the shop might have a stock of Aramith and cheaper ones as well. But they do look like the picture (their...

    Pool Ball Collecting.

My collection started about 2 years ago, and I bought some special sets already like Poker Balls, Bocette, or different styled Chinese ball sets. I don’t know if any of them are worth posting here. But I have a few strange sets/balls I acquired over the last year. First of all, this small...

    Aramith Harlequin ball set

Yes, the FCP Games website was from the 90s, and the website for Harlequin Balls went offline 2018. Thats the last thing I found online 🙁 I would be glad, to at least get the rules if possible.

    Aramith Harlequin ball set

Hello! I was looking to find informations on that specific set, but could not find anything except some pictures of the balls and outdated websites. Am I right, that this set is nowhere sold at the moment? It seems like that FCP Games first sold them, and then TOGOL LLC sold a remaining stock...

    Pool Ball Collecting.

I was lucky, I found them in Germany! Someone bought them during a vacation and brought them with him. Shipping within the EU to Austria was quite cheap. I would have never bought them from Brazil myself, considering the high shipping costs and import taxes as well 🙃

    Pool Ball Collecting.

I was able to aquire something special last week, which might be worth showing here. They may not be of high quality, but i really like them. These are 54mm balls from Brazil. I found them with round circles for the numbers, but nowhere with hexagons. So i have no clue what they actually are...

A New Pool game...? Yes... Look inside...

If i remember right, in Baccara the 9 is worth 9 points and the Ace 1, but all the other 4 cards 0 points. So i was curious how to „get close to 9 points“ actually works, if 4/6 pockets don’t bring any points. I was thinking, it must be something with the players 2 pockets, like the own bring...

Would you maybe like to share more details on how this works/scores? It sounds fun from what i read so far :)

    Pool Ball Collecting.

Thanks for that kind offer, but no thanks. The 2“ set was rather cheap, about 50,-. So it got my attention and i thought about buying it (without knowing it is not a 2 1/4“ set). I am currently in the process of buying used Snooker sets to get some coloured balls. I can get them cheaper, for...

    Pool Ball Collecting.

I found a few pictures of the boxes so far, and could not find any size written on them. So i could not verify if the ones in here are 2“ or not. But all the boxes which can be bought by now seem to be 2“ indeed. I asked one seller about it. That’s strange. And i checked the old website via...

    Pool Ball Collecting.

I was looking for the 29 Colour Ball set by Eagle Pool Balls, and found some to buy. But when asking the seller, they said that these are 2“ balls. Were these available in 2 sizes? I found a Reddit post, where someone claims to have a few sets in 2 1/4“ to sell. The old website from Eagle does...

Strange middle pocket measurements and help needed

It‘s actually a small company, and he makes pool and carom tables in various designs. Hence I didn‘t think further about it before buying one. As I understood it, he builds them and has a carpenter company who makes all the woodworking for him… It is a private table for fun evenings though. I‘m...

Strange middle pocket measurements and help needed

If you mean, the pocket/hole should extend to the line of my trianlge, then no it does not. Which oviously decreases the angles with which I can pot into the side pockets. And the hole of the pocket is barely 1/2“ deeper than the ball, which means if I hit it too hard it bounces back out. My...
