    WTB: O'Neil Cases

I don’t have any for sale but 2x2 O’Neil cases pop-up. Just be certain they are in fact O’Neils as many box cases are misrepresented as O’Neils.

Can someone help me ID this Palmer please???'

Values are all over the board, so even if I gave you a good faith estimate of what I feel it is worth, the market could vary by 50% in either direction. Sometimes eBay is your best option, although I've watched some good Palmers sell for less than they were worth and identical model Palmers sell...

Can someone help me ID this Palmer please???'

Your cue is a First Catalog Model 8 with an replacement butt cap. Unfortunately the butt cap is the incorrect length, shape, & material. The orignal butt caps were 7/8" long. Also, First Catalog Palmers never had bumpers. If you want to put an original butt cap on your cue, Greg Antonakos has a...

    Bump or Flaw in refinishing?

Proficient was one of the shops I often used for routine refinishing and wraps and I have to agree that Scot can be difficult. My last encounters with Scot could only be described as uncomfortable. A coup[le of years ago, I asked if he would shoot lacquer to which he said he would, but when I...

    GC I or GC III?

Important variables are history of the table, present condition, and who is doing the installation. In my opinion, the prices you were quoted are low for a good table installed by an experienced mechanic, but as I noted, there are a of variables involved.

    Rebuilding a vintage cue

I send out vintage cues to be restored quite often and unless a piece is broken or missing, I have never substituted modern materials for original. In fact when materials need to be replaced I make every attempt to source original period material. Since you mentioned Viking, I attached two...

Diamond King Thanks. I always wanted a Diamond King and I also found the red catalin attractive. Since those pictures were taken, the cue has been restored. I'm not a fan of refinishing and rewrapping cues on a whim but a number of the inlays were damaged and the rap was damaged in several...

Photos of tables for felt color decision

Since this thread seems to be focusing on appearance over function, I will relate my recent experience. In the spring we swapped-out one Gold Crown for another and in the process went from a table with a designer color cloth (Simonis wine) that we lived with for 20-plus years to SImonis green...

    Show Your Paradises

It's about time we had a Paradise gallery here on AZ. I'll start with a Paradise house cue conversion from 1968 that I recently acquired from a fellow AZ member. I won't relate his interesting story about the cue. I will leave it for him to do so if he so chooses.

Consider shipping your rails. I don't know shipping costs from Canada to the US and back but within the US the cost isn't prohibitive.
