QATAR WORLD CUP 10 BALL, OCT. 28 to NOV. 2, 2025

Not only can the PI have a winning Reyes Cup team only using players whose first name start with J, but they can probably have a 2nd J team that could win it, too.

QATAR WORLD CUP 10 BALL, OCT. 28 to NOV. 2, 2025

Do they have different English commentators at the event? The one English guy I keep hearing says things like, “this shot is very important.” He also kept commenting on another match without saying who the players were. He’d say, “in table 2, it’s now all tied up. The Filipino was up...

I don’t like to bash on commentators, because it’s not as easy as people think. But the commentary … is several levels below where it needs to be.

    Fallen in love…

I have never heard this terminology. But, I think I could get used to it or something similar (High Spot etc). Typically I hear 9-on-th-spot or Regular. LOL!

    Another jump cue shaft question..

Was the shaft really rough cut? Those often aren’t shaft wood. If it’s what I think it is, it’s dunnage to mimic a shaft so that the cases can be imported as packaging, bypassing the harmonization codes for the case’s true function.

2025 Reyes Cup, Oct 16-19, Manilla. Team Asia vs Team World

For sure. In his teams win, he opened his runout with a cross side bank at 4-2 down. The safe looked so much easier, but I think the 7-0 score made the go-for-it shot the right shot. He barely got into the far side of the pocket.

2025 Reyes Cup, Oct 16-19, Manilla. Team Asia vs Team World

ROW gets their first point, winning the Team Match Day 3, 5-4. After being up 4-2. Moritz with a great out, showing no nerves. But then Team ROW climbed on the table. The whole team. WTF? I get doing it at the end of the tourney. If they damage the table in any way, cut the cloth...

2025 Reyes Cup, Oct 16-19, Manilla. Team Asia vs Team World

Biado’s out against Shaw on Day 3 teams match… one of the most spectacular outs I’ve ever seen considering the tight pockets, the great safety laid down, and… how easily Biado attacked it. Relatively little fanfare. Biado on the 2-ball, and it seemed like never a doubt.
