Joe Rogan at Skinny Bob's sweating the matches!!

That was pretty funny. Some no-name Dr. on CNN said he took "horse de-wormer" for covid and Joe had him on his show and confronted him about it. "I can afford people medicine M***R F***ER!" Lol. What is great about Joe is they had a civil conversation before and after that.

    Newbie and nerves

Hey SeniorTom - welcome to the forum. I've appreciated your posts that I've seen so far. There is a lot of great advice in this thread that will help you tremendously. I'll add a slightly different lens that some have touched on and then give you my go-to technique for overcoming nervousness...

    Quick quiz by Sharivari

And that is only spin-induced throw. Deflection might change where you aim as well depending on your cue and how much off center you aiming, as well as whether you use backhand English or not.

Would you call a foul on yourself?

As far as the thread topic goes. I call fouls on myself every time I know I fouled. For some reason I've been double-hitting the CB once in a while lately. Usually a miscue trying to hit maximum topspin and I can feel it but my opponents would almost never call it. I do though. Then a...

Would you call a foul on yourself?

I was playing a tournament for the first time in a new area and one of the players accused me of marking two games when I won one. It was not true. It was alternate breaks and he was insistent the score was 1-1 and it was actually 2-1 me. Because of alternate breaks I knew based on the breaks...

    JONATHON HENNESSEE PINEGAR

So the opponent's ball stays down? As cornerman noted usually that would be loss of game anyway.

    Anyone watched these videos?

There is something nice about watching someone really enjoying something they are good at. Also, is it this woman who just won the Predator women's event? https://probilliardseries.com/kamui-world-womens-9-ball-championship/chou-shutouts-fisher-to-win-kamui-wpa-womens-world-9-ball-title/

Winning and Losing - Separating the process from the outcome

I know a great player that tells himself “all I have to do is make this easy shot and I win!” And that works well for him. I tried it and it wasn’t the best for me. For me it’s probably bouncing between 2 & 3. I play best when I look at the shot, see the CB path and let my brain do the...

Winning and Losing - Separating the process from the outcome

I have done coaching and mindset more than technique. I don’t have time right now though at all. If you are still near Joliet we might be able to meet up and just chat about mindset though and hit some balls around.

Winning and Losing - Separating the process from the outcome

Bumping this old thread of mine. It recently helped me get back to the winner’s circle after a long break and frustrating comeback. I was practicing well but not playing well in tournaments at all. Hopefully it will help someone else.

My very accurate 3-rail kicking system. No crazy math required.

Stay with it. I think it has merit but I haven’t been to a table yet so I’ve refrained from commenting. I realized that you are talking about an add-on system to the spot on the wall system but it seems some folks might have missed that.

Did I make a bad call as Tournament Director?

Late 90s I played in a big tournament at McChesney’s in Denver. I was at the player meeting and it wasn’t mentioned. I hated to concede games. To the point a lot of people were pissed at me. Anyway, first match I’m playing one of the favorites. Race to 5. He breaks and is running out...

Did I make a bad call as Tournament Director?

Everybody has some blame in this situation. Bob for not paying attention to his game. Vic for raking the balls before getting an acknowledgement from his opponent. You for not making sure you completely understood what each player was trying to tell you before you made the call. It can be...

A lot has changed in 15 years too. Some shots that I was told never, ever to take are now commonplace among the pros.

Yeah. I enjoyed it until I fell asleep way too early! Nothing to do with the stream. Rehabbing a house so I’m tired at night.
