I agree with you. Even short reel type videos of great shots/outs like Chris Melling's 8-ball out could really draw some viewers and lead back to the match. Maybe even get more youngsters interested in pool.

I have an Ernie Martinez birdseye no points that plays really well. I would think that would be in your budget but not sure. Mine is not for sale. :)

I'm similar. I use feel but I obsessively learn and try aiming systems. When I'm playing though, I only use an aiming system if I can't feel the shot.

I agree with you completely. The way I prove it is that players miss backward cuts more than straight in shots or forward cuts. If the misses were caused by mechanical faults then the misses would be distributed evenly among all shots and happen almost randomly.

I used to play off the wall all the time when I was traveling for business. I played more with house cues than probably any other cue. And I still play best with a good house cue. I don't think there is a better hit than a good one-piece house cue with a soft, cheap tip.

I'm going to have to try this on a table. It sounds great and I've been looking for a good pivot to add outside spin. You did a much better job describing this than I did describing the Shishkabob IMO.
