Tyler and Lukas pick up 2,000 Mosconi points apiece for getting to the final 32. Win the next round and instead earn 4,000 points. Lukas has a tough one vs Alcaide. Styer plays Kazakis. As things now stand, Homann: 20,550 Fracasso-Verner: 18,000 Styer: 10,020 Gorst: 8,370 Wodward: 6,400

I'd be shocked if Dohr won. Race to 10, Filler just needed to get to the table. I like the new balls in an odd sort of way. I can distinguish all the balls on the table easier than ever.

Goes to show you can’t just show up and win. Serves him right. Capito also seems to have his number. Still a long way to go, but if they earn it, they earn it. I want hungry players first and foremost. Not players missing WNT events and not being prepared.

Dynasphere becomes the official ball set for Matchroom WNT - Multi-year partnership

Once I got a bit used to the 2, this set is the easiest I’ve seen for distinguishing the balls on TV. The 2 could have been darker, though.

SVB never had any intention to play, based on an interview earlier this year on Boomer and Freezer.

Wonder when WNT/MR is going to fall off the AJ Manas bandwagon. The kid doesn't have what it takes to be a top player, not yet anyway.

Dynaspheres and WNT Launch Major Partnership as the New Balls of the Tour

Barry Hearn actually said in a recent interview the Brentwood Centre needed big upgrades. Then again, who expected the London area to be so hot this time of year. Hotter in London now than in DC. The location is much closer to London and the main UK airport, however. Got to imagine it's easier...

Dynaspheres and WNT Launch Major Partnership as the New Balls of the Tour

Please. The "best" players in the world routinely play with "less than the best equipment" themselves - cues, tips. chalk, g;oves, etc. How come? They need the money! It's not a lucrative sport, so sponsors are hard to come by. Somehow top players still manage to play at 800-plus Fargo levels...

Dynasphere becomes the official ball set for Matchroom WNT - Multi-year partnership

I didn't mean to come across as ornery. Your questions were legit to ask. I am just sad that pool struggles to generate revenue. As good as Aramith and Simonis are, other competitors have caught up. I am sure MR would have preferred, all things being equal, to stick with them. But if newer...

Dynaspheres and WNT Launch Major Partnership as the New Balls of the Tour

Colors don't bother me. I think it might be the set that's easiest for me to tell the balls apart on TV. Which is what I consider most important. We'll see if I get used to them. In any case, I came to the sport too late to fuss about changing colors or to be wed to any traditional colors.

Dynasphere becomes the official ball set for Matchroom WNT - Multi-year partnership

Not to be uncivil, but why does it matter? Every sports league in the world engages in cash grabs. And they are typically a lot more lucrative in doing it. Pool has lacked investment for years. So Matchroom does something about it and people complain. Come now. The sport can't be all purist if...

MR actually had a full field of 256 players and only four or five no-shows that I counted. Least of any WNT major that I can remember. Carlos Biado said he stayed home to cope with some recent injuries. Excellent turnout overall, and a surprising number of Asian players.

If anyone hasn't noticed, WNT is using new Dynasphere balls. Called Titan. Press release today announced the deal. WNT claims the best yet for TV tables. Four ball is still pink, 5 ball still purple, 9 ball has the black stripe...

Ko's might not be entirely done. The WNT ad for the US Open in Texas pictures Ko Pin Yi. Good chance he and his brothers show up for the US open - there's no conflict with the stuff they are doing in China. Ko Pin Yi also played in a WNT event in Taipei in January, which he won. SVB, Biado...

Predator Pure chalk - chalkholders ??

It's not cheap or cheaply made. Best and most versatile chalk holder available, by far, in my view. That's all that matters to me, but mileage for the OP may vary.
