I have to strongly disagree with the idea that it's common practice to pay money up front for a custom cue. I have had several customs made for me by some fairly new makers & well established as well. I have never been asked for a deposit and they have actually declined the offer when made.

I voted "I definitely would not order a custom cue from this cuemaker" but I have to admit that my opinion of a particular "cue maker" may have an impact on my vote. I have to wonder though, since the cue is worthless in the secondary market by the makers own opinion, if after playing with the...

I'm looking at purchasing a fixture for installing leather wraps, I have a cuesmith deluxe.My question is would I be better of with the attachment Mr Hightower sells for the cuesmith or with the unique fixture. Any input would be appreciated. Jim
