    Break Cue Features and Justification

Thanks for all of the feedback. Outcomes matter, and increased weight does not translate into increased accuracy. I’m delighted with getting the weight down to 19oz

    Break Cue Features and Justification

I appreciate the feedback, but reject the effect that weight increases speed. I have a 18oz playing cue that far exceeds the speed of my 24oz breaker - that is “if I wanted to destroy the $$$ playing cue.” You won’t see many big hitters (MLB/PGA) swinging heavy sticks and not experience back...

    My Thoughts on Aiming

Having switched to a 11.75 diameter shaft has definitely reached the “Eureka” moment. Now I must raise my level of play in order to navigate the table. I’m focused now on rehearsing the 7 step shot preparation for EVERY shot and locking in the “perspective” into my vision center. In practice I...

Predator BK III Weight Bolt Removal

Thanks so much for the assistance. I’ll reach out to Keven@pooldawg and find out if they can remove it.

Predator BK III Weight Bolt Removal

Thanks - I used 2 hex keys (sung fit) and some pliers. It definitely felt like it had been glued in, and I was concerned the too much pressure would break the cue. I might just drive out to Coldwster MI and let a Seybert tech look at it.

Predator BK III Weight Bolt Removal

I tried the DIY remedy to remove the weight bolt from my BK III break cue. Regardless of how much pressure is applied - The bolt is frozen tight. Rather than spend extra $$$ for a Predator bolt remover (which may not work) or send it away for repair - I’m looking for someone local (Oakland Cty)...

    It’s not over - Until you’re out!

I learned a valuable lesson from simply walking the table and not selling out. My opponent had blocked all but a difficult kick shot into the side pocket. I had found a path to extend my run. Similarly, pool players are also prone to getting excited and looking too far ahead to a potential run...

Lucasi Hybrid - Simply Hype or Money!

After careful review and play - The Lucasj LC Slim Pro shaft is MONEY! The pro tapered profile and balance is “sexy” and feels like a saber like weapon. I can see my shot line much better with the 11.75mm diameter - The feeling is like getting glued onto a pocket. This is definitely a game...

Lucasi Hybrid LC and LH (Marketing)

Thanks again. From what I can gather - You’ve had the Lucasi cues for a while. That likely makes the LH model the older shaft. I’m being told (and from reviewing multiple websites) that Lucasi upgraded their model to LC, and incorporated the LH design into the new shaft. Lucasi buyers should...

Lucasi Hybrid LC and LH (Marketing)

Thanks for the feedback. Lucasi advertised the LH model on its website. The exact same shaft was on the pooldawg website. However, Seyberts is selling a LC model listed as a hybrid. Both list the shaft as “Zero Flexpoint standard on all hybrid.” The shafts are priced the same, detail the same...

Lucasi Hybrid - Simply Hype or Money!

Having received the Lucasi LHE20 - A question came up from a comment made regarding the LH and LC shafts. A buyer reported having purchased the LHE20, chalked, and ran a few balls. He later noticed that he was shipped a LC shaft with the Hybrid butt. He questioned the seller and Lucasi, but...

Lucasi Hybrid LC and LH (Marketing)

I have some questions about how Lucasi markets their cue shafts to the public. On their website they clearly defined what is a Custom and Hybrid LD shaft. It appears that they (Lucasi) are pushing only LH models. However, several online suppliers are advertising LC shafts as Hybrid. What goes...

Cut Shots - Do you use Center of Cue Ball or Edge of Cue Ball for alignment to the Object Ball or Both

This is good collaboration and needful - as long as we keep the conversation progressive. No offense should be taken for defending one’s point of view. I recall during a critical match that my vision had blurred and I could not see the OB contact point. I’d already processed where I needed to...

    McDermott G343 /w 12.50 G Shaft

Update - After reaching out to a few well known online dealers, waiting 4-12 weeks to take a shaft down to 12mm is too long of a wait for a mid-level cue. All of them cite production delays and supply chain issues. Look - I wanted a quality cue made in the USA. I understand that genuine is...

Lucasi Hybrid - Simply Hype or Money!

Thanks for the feedback - I went with a Lucasi LHE20 w/ 11.75mm pro taper shaft. The conical and slim models are too extreme for me. My BK breaker has a sport grip so I’m excited about trying out the hybrid grip. You’re on point about the uniloc issues. Mine actually separated after a break...

Lucasi Hybrid - Simply Hype or Money!

I’m interested in any feedback regarding the Lucasi Hybrid line. Has anyone been successful in moving into the 11.50mm pro taper, or remained with 12.75mm regular shaft. It appears that Lucasi is promoting this as a premium upgrade, and compete with the Predator Z model. I’m not including true...

    McDermott G343 /w 12.50 G Shaft

Hey - What’s up PROGEAR? I’m a bit leery of buying a customized cue from a dealer that will try and hook me on what is straight. Well - I have a decent offer on a new Lucasi LHC17 (438.00) from an outfit called PROGEAR. Has anyone heard or purchase from them before? I’ve searched all over the...

    McDermott G343 /w 12.50 G Shaft

It’s sobering to be left with a choice between the willingness to learn a potentially unsettling or life-changing truth (red pill) or remain content in ignorance (blue pill) in what these online dealers (matrix) are wanting to sell me? I don’t want to wait 3 1/2 months just to have something...

    McDermott G343 /w 12.50 G Shaft

That’s an excellent assessment! I agree that a number of factors can control the flight err… direction of the ball/arrow. That’s where the angle of perception is in play. My mates will say “nice shot - how did you see that?” I tell them that it’s sound fundamentals and a “can do attitude.”...
