Above post has a great deal. Player's Sneaky pete's are great starter cues. My best friend bought one because he used to come up and play with me on occasion. I liked it enough that I bought one for a break cue. Used it as a bar beater as well, worked very well.

Someone was selling a "starter kit" kind of deal a little while back for I think 80 or so shipped. It was a players sneaky, a glove, a tip tool, a soft case, and maybe one or 2 other things as well. I can't remember who, I would do a search though.

Found out we are in the main hotel. Thanks for the heads up on that guys. We actually WERE in the "trailor park" but we got moved over into the main hotel. Turns out they're not too busy thanksgiving night. ..surprise surprise. LOL

I get you there rdinda, but I was going for something a bit more unique then that. I just didn't know if it was possible to make an ebony shaft or not. Seems to me concensus is that the best thing to do would actually be to dye a maple/PH shaft and take it from there. I will just have to ask...

I agree that Maple shafts break great, I have nothing against them at all. I've never even broke with a PH shaft. It was more from an Aesthetic standpoint that I wanted a black shaft, and since Ebony is already a black wood it seemed the most logical. TLD, if you find someone to make one...

Well, if a cheap carbon Cuetec has a hoppe ring, and silver railroad ringwork at the joint(and maybe above and below a leather wrap, if I go that route). . .then sure. :)

All-thread? I'm not familiar with this. Are you suggesting dye/seal a maple shaft would probably be best then? Joey, I know what you mean about being expensive, but while you say non-existant, it's what I want, the problem exists at least for me. :) Maybe I should look into a graphite...

Thank you for the input. You mentioned feel of the shaft. Honestly it's not as much the feel I'm looking for as much as the look to be honest. Feel is, of course, important because I want to be able to hit with it, but it really just needs to be a stiff hitting cue that's going to be durable...
