    Lathe for tips

That's what I was thinking. DIY is the way to go; years ago I saw a guy doing repair work in a pool hall with a very simple set-up: two pillow blocks about 16" apart, a small motor on a swivel, some collets, and a rubber belt. He'd mount the shaft on the pillow blocks, the belt drove the shaft...

    Dallas tip replacement?

Tournament nights for sure. I haven't been around Dallas in a couple of years but they were held on Tuesdays at the time. He's on facebook if you want to get in touch with him: https://www.facebook.com/FrancoCues/

    Dallas tip replacement?

Tubbs is a hell of a guy, hope he's doing alright. Try Robert Franco, he usually hangs out at ck's on skillman. There's also billiard & game supply in old east Dallas. Peak St just south of I30.

Looking for good rooms in South Texas

I was there a few months back. Nice place with a nice crowd; I spoke with the owners for a spell, I beleive they bought the place more or less recently. As far as equipment, they had a bunch of recently purchased Diamond 9 footers and they take very good care of them.

    You BECOME your environment.

Here's an interesting question I haven't seen raised: how does the environment affect your game? Specifcally, how much does your game change depending on the venue? For many of us, billiards are at least partly a social thing; the first thing I do whenever I visit someplace new is hit the local...

    Another One Pocket WWYD

I think I would hit 1/3 of the OB to try banking it in. I'd try to leave the CB close to the head rail in case in doesn't go in.

    D/FW Metroplex Pool Halls

Not very many options. CK Billiards on Skillman is your best option, otherwise you're driving to Plano (Rack Daddy's), Lewisville (Sticks & Stones) or Frisco (Snookered). Another room opened in Forney about a year ago, but I think it sucks. Rusty's and Pockets in Arlington are half way decent...
