14.1 on 9ft US table vs 7ft English table

Afternoon all, I started playing 14.1 on English tables a few weeks ago and I've noticed that the game is totally different compared to playing on 9ft American tables. On a 9ft'er I can regularly run 70's and 80's without too much trouble but getting past a 30 on an English table is proving to...

As a cuemaker how would you handle this situation...

I agree. You provided all the info but the product wasn't the right one delivered. You had no involvement with the product not being finished to spec so its not your problem.

Today's top snooker players: which ones will give pool a go as their career fades?

obvious one for me would be Selby. He was world pool (English 8 ball) champion before he went into snooker.

What would you call this situation?

I 100% agree. Unless there is a significant difference in the players overall skill level I feel that a style of play difference can help the weaker overcome the stronger player if the gap between them is relatively small. There a certain guys in my area that i hate to play because of this...

    World Open Starts Saturday

Takes some balls that! 8 pts then wonders if he can be arsed to put a 147 in. Need to have the stones to back up that arrogance. Still a nice clearance mind you, despite being in practice mode.

    Straightening a cue advice needed

Hi guys, I need to straighten a bent cue. Any pearls of wisdom would be appreciated. The key thing i'm trying to find out from an experienced cue maker is whats the best heat source for this job? Wet heat (Steam) or dry heat (heat gun)? Thanks guys

    Best Snooker Cue

lol, just done exactly the same for a friend and his 'Pot Black' cue. there was a nice cue under all that cheap varnish but wow, those machined splices were miles out. Whoever or whatever turned that square to round must have had a running start with one eye closed to be that far off centre...

    The Green Room, Edinburgh, Scotland

That's the one thing i will say as a downside. The tables were a little dark. They could drop the lights a few feet and it wouldn't hurt the ambiance at all.

    The Green Room, Edinburgh, Scotland

Just thought i'd share a review of a pool room that i visited this weekend. I was up in Scotland for the theatre show, "Rocky Horror Picture Show". Killing some time during the day I found my way into the GREEN ROOM. I'd heard of this place prior to going and was very excited to see if it...

    UK pool halls

If you're looking for a cue, try Mike Wooldridge. I swear by his cues. As far as pool halls go, avoid Rileys like the plague. I've never played in one with even half decent tables. Very expensive too...
