The p3 cue is design for maximum playability, I play with a p2 and love it. The ikon series will have a different feeling and is geared to play well, but more thought is put into aesthetics, which makes them more expensive. My advice would be to get the P3 if you dont care about ornamentation...

why not just add shims? Du you only want tight pockets at times? Personally I try to shoot into the centers of the pockets, lol. No matter the pocket size you know when you hit it well.
