My sons 8th bday is coming, need gift ideas

A break rak would be a beneficial investment/gift. A GoPro camera so he/you can take videos of his practice, and artistic photos/videos of the world around him. He’s probably a little too young to use a lathe but it wouldn’t hurt to get him started doing his own cue maintenance and tip...

    Keeping your chalk moist

Never thought of Chalk becoming “too dry.” I always assumed the drier the better?

Banksia Pod / Asian Ironwood Video

All of the cues you’ve uploaded onto Vimeo are beautiful. This and the Prince cue are unreal and unlike any other cue I’ve seen...I want one The hollow rock time lapse is incredible, they’re all awesome but that one is pretty gnarly. Thanks for sharing

Discussion of how a cue "hits"...

I always find it interesting how others interpret the hit of different cues. What kind of pins and joint collar materials are on the cues?

    My JB Case experience

JB cases are bar none the best, anyone who doesn’t own one wants one(even if they can’t admit it) and everyone who already owns one probably wants another.

    Cue rack with brass locks

Assuming you can’t hold cues with it it’s worthless without keys...to me at least. But I’m not a collector of unfunctional memorabilia. Some are though! It’s certainly a neat decoration, if I stumbled upon it for free and I had wallspace to hang it on I’d definitely hang it up. Monetary...

Help with changing a tip on a cue

I use epoxy on everything, not once have I had a tip come off mine or a customers cue. Nor have I had a tip not be completely adhered. Super glue’s work as long as the installer doesn’t starve the joint of glue. But super glue doesn’t have a very long shelf life. I’d rather just mix two...

Looking for review Mezz Ex Pro shaft ?

I don’t own any Mezz products but have tried various cues with various Mezz shafts and various Mezz cues with mezz shafts and all in all they were awesome. I don’t think you can really pick a bad one. They all felt awesome but if I were in the market for one I’d pick the wd700. It had a...

    Ferrule Cleaning question

Those are odd marks/scratches? Doesn’t look like a tip tool nor Chalk would cause that. Tip tool gouges are...gouges and evident. Chalk wear isn’t usually so fine? Idk can’t imagine a ferrule could crack like that, even if it is from predator

    Very heavy pool ball

Bet it’ll bust up a tip/ferrule nicely too

    Cored Dufferin Conversion Playability

Well like all cues the joint/pin configuration, shaft wood/taper and ferrule/tip install will be a big determining factor on whether YOU think it hits and plays well. But as far as a butt construction goes, I bet it’ll hit and sound pretty sweet. I’m not a cuemaker but I play with fullspliced...
