Play your game and don't make a big deal about it is my best advice.Just get playing and the nerves will go away with experience...And yes you will probably play tight and make mistakes but who cares?
Pool tourney night is almost a guarantee that you will smell weed on people all night long.I dislike bars,drunks,and druggies and if it was not for pool I have virtually zero contact with that nonsense in normal life.
Any time I hear the R word I expect the guys to keep playing,just less than before.A steady paycheck with health insurance is not a bad thing.I work full time and can still find 20-30 hours for pool if I want to.
