Niels is still a solid player but his window for winning these events is rapidly closing. I remember when he last won World Pool Masters in I believe 2018. It seemed normal because he was still elite. Now, it would be something of a surprise/upset just five years later.

I'd like to see Niels or Chang take this down. And an FSR win would firmly establish him among the game's elite.

SVB’s 2011-2014 was stupidly strong. Just in terms of DCC, he repeated as MoT 2011-2012 and won 9 ball and Big Foot in 2014.

I assumed it had happened at some point, probably multiple times given how often these guys play. But it seems like Sky will get a nice head of steam in a tournament, run into SVB, and then it's curtains for him. And then all those matches end up on YouTube.

I don't think I have ever seen Sky beat Shane in a tournament.

I think Filler has a psychological edge over a lot of top players, but it seems reversed when he plays Gorst. Maybe the fact that Gorst is younger than him and potentially even more promising as a player.

Corey is an interesting case to me. I think he's one of the best in the world on a bar box, but his big table game can be shaky. He just doesn't look as "solid" playing 9 ball as the younger generation of top pros, but as soon as I count him out, I see him go deep in a 9 or 10 ball tournament...

10 ball on a 10' Diamond table with 4 1/8th inch pockets. Whew. That's MONSTROUSLY difficult. And honestly, that's what pro pool should be all the time.

Is there an updated bracket for the Bigfoot 10-ball tournament anywhere?

He definitely wasn’t in his first couple of sessions. I think he was under ranked when he went out there by an SL or two and has improved further since then. Interestingly his Fargo is barely over 500 with high robustness. If that’s accurate he’s gonna have a tough time as a 7/9.

A guy in my league who won singles out in Vegas last spring as an SL 5/5 is now a 7/9. That was...quick?

This is why I would never play in a non double jeopardy league (both 8 and 9 ball on the same night). I am not dragging my ass out to the pool room and sitting around for five hours and not playing. DJ virtually assures you’ll play at least one format and often both.
