I seem to get the best results when I aim to just clip the head ball going into the second ball. But sometimes I miss the head ball completly. I wanted to make sure I wasn't missing any rules. Thanks again everyone.

I do know that tungsten carbide is pretty expensive. Taking into account the brass, time for assembly, custom machine work and grinding, I can understand the price. Not to mention building these arbors to a .0005 tolerance. I just wonder, and hopefully someone with experience and knowledge...

You may want to check out Brunswick Centurions. They are very close to the GC, and there are lots more of these in 8ft. than GC's.

It drives my wife crazy when I say "fishing stick". Although it would probably bother Gary Loomis, too. I also prefer the term "cue".

The word "beautiful" doesn't come close to describing this cue. Zinzola does some of the best work I've ever seen. GLWS.

Straight grain maple with ebony points and black/white/black/white veneers still available? If so, how would it be finished? I love the ebony, and not so much wraps.
