    at no time should the outcome of the game be determined by the ref. it's one thing to tell your opponent that their about to shoot the wrong ball, if the game is meaningless, but when you do it for a living, thats another issue.

    scott im not trying to bash the apa, i just think that if they had a better rating system it would make it more competitive. i just cant see where it would be fun to play, knowing you have little or no chance to win. :thumbup:

    if your an apa2 or3 you dont have a snowballs chance in heck to compete with a 7. now if the system is changed to make it an even game then it becomes fun and competitive for the players. jmo :cool: take it for what it is worth

    the system is flawed, it may work for the league,but it doesnt work for the players. the problem is you almost always see the cream (better players) rise to the top, when in fact the lower rated players should have just as good a chance at winning. this would bring alot more players into our...

    Rating Systems

    yeah your right what we need is a good handicap system so that anyone that plays has an equal chance to win. you would at least keep players coming back to tournament if they feel they have a fair chance.

    are there any rating systems that that truely make it a level playing field? the best one i can think of is the DR POOL system. How about it anybody have any good ideas for a system that would give everyone playing a fair shot at winning?

    i for one would never gamble with a close friend, where money is involved there is no friendship and thats the way i treat it in all aspects of life (gambling,business,loans etc.)
