    Early Joss West

Here are some pics of my early Joss West. This cue is in excellent lightly played condition. I believe the cue to be all original. One of my favorites!

    Deanoc Special Request

Dean, I have surfed the forum for quite a while before I started to participate. When I saw some of your for sale threads, selling cues without pics, I thought to myself.....this guy is nuts!! Who is going to buy a cue blind. After seeing your reputation here on the forum and seeing some cues...

    conceding the last ball.

IMHO conceding a rack is ill advised at best. I have done it and will continue to do it but if you are trying to win its kind of silly. In certain circumstances, all of us have miscued, mis-stroked or followed the cue ball in on an easy shot, it happens and can happen in an important situation...

Schick a master of his craft!

Thanks everyone for commenting! It plays as good as it looks. I hit balls with it for 45 min then put it away. I'm going to look for another (@SBE) that I feel comfortable using daily!!

Who is your top 5 cue makers?

A top 5 list is so subjective. It would almost be easier to break down to top 5 in certain categories such as retired, active, pure players, full splice...... There is just so much talent! I would say for sure Schick, Hercek, Szamboti, Manzino, Haley, Tascarella, Balabushka, Mottey, JMW...

Value of every day player cue

I own cues priced from $200 to $7000. I play them all at the pool halls. I try not to take high end to league very often. I love enjoying the differences in how they all hit. For competition, I have two go to cues. One is a bit stiffer than the other, depending on the game I am playing or how I...

Tournament Director Playing in Weekly Tournament - Conflict of Interest?

Exactly this!!! I run a local handicapped 9-ball tournament. I spend all of my time focusing on the entrants. I also like to evaluate matches in effort to ensure everyone is at a fair rating. There are also folks that always feel they should be at a lower handicap. I would not want to create...

I bought a Willie Blade Cue from russia

DBK (Dmitry Komarov) spliced his shafts. He also used Hornbeam for shaft wood. I know for sure his shafts played on the stiff side but effortless. Really good players!! Willie Blade shafts seem to be spliced higher up. I assume they are Hornbeam as well but not sure.

Do you all DO THIS? I'm sure a few of you do, I've seen you

Love your quote!! I treat my gear really well and sometimes scratch my head wondering how I get the smallest ding on my shaft. I refuse to add to this by being rough. I too will continue to walk around the table to collect balls and such!!!

    Favorite Cuemaker (ONLY ONE!)

Like many folks here, I own several cues and would love to try several more. BUT strictly from a playability perspective.... my DBK-Dmitry Komarov (RIP) is something special. I always seem to play well with it!!!

How many of you play multiple cues?

Well said Chopdoc! I like a firmer/more solid hit for one pocket. 9 ball I use something a bit more "whippy". I also have some older cues and collectible types I like to take out and enjoy just every once and a while. I know how each of my cues feel, so, it doesn't take me long to adjust when...
